The Solo Leveling ARISE Shadow Monarch Requiem job change is the next advancement for Sung Jinwoo in the BEYOND update. You need Level 160, 1.5 million total power, Story Chapter 36 cleared and the earlier Shadow Monarch: Vanquisher job advancement completed.
Completing the new job change rewards the Master of Death skin, Commander’s Authority Ultimate Skill, extra stat points and an increase in total power. The update also raises Jinwoo’s maximum level to 170, but that does not mean you must reach Level 170 to become Requiem.
Solo Leveling ARISE Shadow Monarch Requiem requirements

Before attempting the new job change, check four account milestones. Jinwoo must be at least Level 160, Story Chapter 36 must be cleared, your total power must reach 1,500,000, and you must already have unlocked Shadow Monarch: Vanquisher. Missing even one leaves the new advancement incomplete.
Those conditions come directly from Netmarble’s BEYOND overview. Story Chapter 36 is part of the newly expanded main story with Chapters 35 and 36, featuring Jinwoo’s clash with powerful Monarchs in Seoul. Clearing earlier content is part of getting there, but the publisher doesn’t publish a simple battle-by-battle shortcut for the chapter in this overview.
Solo Leveling ARISE Shadow Monarch Requiem: How to prepare for the job change
Start with the prerequisite that is actually holding your account back. If you haven’t completed Vanquisher, finish that existing advancement first. If you’re below Level 160, continue character progression. If the power total is short, review your current equipment and established upgrade systems instead of looking for a hidden alternate unlock.
Level 160 alone isn’t enough. The promotion also requires your earlier Vanquisher advancement, Story Chapter 36 and 1.5 million total power. Check each condition separately in the job-change menu.
What rewards does Requiem unlock?
The Solo Leveling ARISE Shadow Monarch Requiem rewards include the Master of Death skin and the Commander’s Authority Ultimate Skill. You’ll also gain additional stat points and increased total power after the advancement. The skin changes Jinwoo’s appearance; the new Ultimate is a combat ability, so they are different kinds of rewards.
The new skin and Ultimate Skill come from the job advancement, not the anniversary login event. Master of Death changes Jinwoo’s appearance, while Commander’s Authority is his new combat ability.
Solo Leveling ARISE Shadow Monarch Requiem: Do you need Jinwoo Level 170?
No. Level 160 is the specified job-change requirement. Level 170 is the new maximum level available to Jinwoo after the update, up from the previous 160 cap. Netmarble has also increased Hunter level caps and expanded higher difficulties in activities including Gates, Instance Dungeons and Workshop of Brilliant Light.
That distinction matters if your account is Level 160 and meets the other three conditions. There is no need to invent a further ten-level requirement just because the level cap increased with BEYOND. The actual gates are the previous job, Chapter 36, power and Level 160.
Solo Leveling ARISE Shadow Monarch Requiem: Does the job change include a new story chapter?
The update adds Chapters 35 and 36 in Normal and Reverse difficulties. The story features Sillad, Ardan and Querehsha opposing Jinwoo, with a dangerous multi-Monarch battle described by the publisher. The October article does not specify every boss attack, phase or optimal counter team.
If Chapter 36 or total power is holding you back, work through your story progression and character upgrades. The Figure system offers another way to develop characters, but does not bypass the job-change requirements.
