Go Gunhee is a Water Buster, not a Fire Successor. This is an important difference from Velvet, who also arrived with BEYOND but belongs to the Successor category. Go Gunhee is an SSR Hunter with skills drawing on his martial-arts training and mythical beast motifs.
The younger character comes from a world affected by the Cup of Reincarnation. This version is presented as a fighter in his prime, unlike the older Hunters Association chairman previously familiar to players. Netmarble also adds character-specific story, Codex, bond and profile material alongside his release.
Go Gunhee’s four divine-beast powers
Solo Leveling ARISE Holy Guardian Barrier Go Gunhee draws on Azure Scale, White Tiger Fang, Vermilion Wing and Black Tortoise Shell as the four divine-beast themes. His fighting style uses punches and kicks, with visual effects based on those beasts. The motifs are part of his abilities, not four separately recruitable characters.
Echoing Impact channels the Black Tortoise into a forceful shoulder attack, while Heavenbreaker Fist is his Burst skill. These named abilities are confirmed by Netmarble’s announcement, without needing invented damage numbers.

His exclusive weapon is Foundation of Order, a gauntlet. Netmarble explicitly says it is available through crafting or events. Age of Strife is an alternate skin for Go Gunhee that adds black hair and a beard, giving him another youthful appearance. It is a cosmetic item, not a separate SSR Hunter with a different class or attribute. Netmarble’s feature overview says it can be obtained but doesn’t specify a single universal claim route.
Unlocking Go Gunhee, obtaining his exclusive weapon and acquiring Age of Strife are separate tasks. The skin is purely an alternate appearance, not an additional SSR Hunter.

As a Water Buster, he is one possible member of a Water-based team for the new four-hunter boss mode. Matching the attribute of all four deployed Hunters unlocks the Union Skill, with additional effects based on class composition.
His Water element makes him eligible for a Water-based Union team, but the best four-hunter party depends on the current experiment and its Anomaly Report.
