Netmarble confirms that the new Successor is available through a limited event draw. Check the event recruitment screen for Velvet specifically, rather than assuming she’ll be inside the standard Hunter pool. A limited draw is an acquisition method, not a promise that every player receives her after a fixed number of attempts.
The banner is a limited event draw, so check its current timer and terms in-game before spending resources. Netmarble’s October overview identifies the recruitment method but doesn’t give a complete list of draw costs or guarantees.

Velvet belongs to the Successor category. These characters have inherited the powers of the Monarchs. Netmarble previously introduced Miro, who inherits power associated with the Monarch of White Flames; Velvet is the new Successor of Fangs linked to Adan.
Don’t confuse Solo Leveling ARISE Velvet with Holy Guardian Barrier Go Gunhee, who launched in the same update. He is a Water-element Buster SSR Hunter, while Velvet is a Fire Successor. Their categories, elemental attributes and available progression paths should not be treated as interchangeable.
Solo Leveling ARISE Velvet: What is Dance of the Fangs?
Velvet’s exclusive weapon Dance of the Fangs connects two swords into a double-bladed lance. Netmarble describes her as a fast, agile close-range fighter who changes stances mid-combat. Each successful sequence builds power that can be released through stronger attacks unique to the current stance.
Her defining mechanic is switching stances, chaining quick attacks and using the power built up for stronger strikes. Check the live skill descriptions for the exact inputs and effects rather than copying another character’s rotation.
Solo Leveling ARISE Velvet: Who is Adan and why does Velvet inherit his power?
Adan is the Monarch of Fangs, associated with ferocity and beasts. Velvet inherits that nature, but she doesn’t resemble Adan physically. Netmarble describes a slimmer, quicker character whose strength emerges through rapidly chained attacks rather than a huge imposing presence.
The connection is useful context for players who already know the old Adan story.
