Black Desert Remote Wharf Manager lets you repair, resupply and handle certain wharf services while staying aboard a big ship near the dock. Pearl Abyss introduced the feature on September 23, 2026 to cut out the repeated trips ashore during trading voyages.
The restriction is simple: you must be aboard a big ship and close to a wharf manager. It’s a convenience for stopping at islands, not a way to access dock services from the middle of the ocean.
How to use Black Desert Remote Wharf Manager

Sail your big ship into range of a wharf manager. You can then open the available wharf interaction while remaining aboard. Pearl Abyss hasn’t published a special keyboard shortcut for this feature, so follow the Wharf prompt shown in your game.
The Black Desert Remote Wharf Manager includes a combined Repair and Supply option. You can fix the vessel and replenish its supplies from one control instead of handling them as separate stops on shore.
What can the remote Wharf Manager do?
The available services go beyond repairing the ship. From aboard, you can manage sailors, load cargo, buy or sell from shops, use Chat, accept and complete eligible quests, and repair equipment and durability.
The remote Stable/Wharf controls can also recover mount stats while a mount is taken out. And the Load Cargo window now lets you sell items from town storage, which is handy when you’re trading between islands.
| Available from your big ship | Not available remotely |
|---|---|
| Repair and Supply | Mount check-in |
| Manage Sailors and Load Cargo | Remote collection |
| Shop buying and selling | Special conversation interactions |
| Chat and eligible quests | |
| Mount equipment and durability repair |
Pearl Abyss lists Chat as available but excludes conversation. They are different NPC interactions in Black Desert: the first doesn’t unlock every dialogue-based service. Mount check-in and remote collection are also unavailable.
Black Desert Remote Wharf Manager repair and resupply
When you’re close enough, open the Wharf services and choose Repair and Supply. Check Manage Sailors if your crew needs attention, then use Load Cargo before setting off again. You can carry out those routine jobs without stepping onto the dock.
The Black Desert Remote Wharf Manager also lets you sell town-storage items through the cargo interface. You still need to be near a wharf, and the feature doesn’t let you check a mount in remotely.
If the option isn’t appearing, first check your distance from the wharf and whether you’re aboard a big ship. The update doesn’t extend these services to every small vessel or make wharf functions available in open water.
Where is the Nearby Town/Wharf button?
Look in Barter Information. September’s update moved the Nearby Town/Wharf button out of the big ship’s Mount Info window. You can now choose the next town or wharf and set a navigation route without opening the World Map.
Barter Information now shows distances to the islands on your barter route. Compare the options, select your destination and head towards its wharf. Once you’re there, the Black Desert Remote Wharf Manager saves you a trip ashore to repair or rearrange cargo.
Does ship auto-navigation avoid obstacles now?
Pearl Abyss also improved automatic ship navigation, reducing awkward routes and some cases of vessels getting stuck. It hasn’t eliminated every possible obstacle, so keep an eye on the vessel when approaching narrow passages or coastlines.
Nearby Town/Wharf is a navigation shortcut, not fully automatic bartering. You still choose your route, steer or monitor the ship and approach the dock closely enough to use the remote services.
On your next barter run, check island distances in Barter Information, navigate to the wharf and use Black Desert Remote Wharf Manager from aboard a big ship. Repairs, supplies, crew and cargo are available nearby, while conversation, check-in and remote collection still require other methods.
