Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games include Beast of Reincarnation, Date Everything!, Cricket 26, Sandustry, PowerWash Simulator 2 and several more additions arriving throughout the first half of August.
Microsoft has now confirmed the first Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games lineup, with releases and additional Game Pass tier availability scheduled between August 4 and August 18. The month also includes early access to the Gears of War: E-Day Open Beta for eligible Game Pass members, a Madden NFL 27 trial and a new Call of Duty: Warzone Game Pass Pack.
Not every title listed in the Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games announcement is completely new to Game Pass. Several games are being added to Game Pass Premium or expanding to additional platforms and membership tiers, while Beast of Reincarnation and Sandustry are day-one Game Pass releases.

The exact platforms vary between games, with the Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games lineup covering Xbox Series X|S, PC, cloud gaming and supported handheld devices.
Beast of Reincarnation Is Available on Game Pass
Beast of Reincarnation is one of the biggest Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games and became available on August 4.
Developed by Game Freak, Beast of Reincarnation is an action RPG set in a post-apocalyptic Japan. Players control Emma alongside her canine companion Koo, with combat combining real-time action and command-based elements.
Beast of Reincarnation is available through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
It is also a day-one Game Pass release, meaning subscribers on the eligible tiers gained access on the same date that Beast of Reincarnation launched.
The game is available through cloud gaming, Xbox Series X|S, supported handheld devices and PC.
Heretic + Hexen Joined More Game Pass Tiers
Heretic + Hexen is also included in the Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games announcement from August 4.
The enhanced collection brings together the classic first-person fantasy shooters Heretic and Hexen with expanded platform availability, accessibility features and additional language support.
Heretic + Hexen is now available with Game Pass Premium while also joining Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
It can be played through cloud gaming, console, supported handheld devices and PC.
Monsters are Coming! Joined Xbox Series X|S
Monsters are Coming! became part of the latest Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games rollout on August 6.
The tower-survivor roguelite tasks players with protecting a moving city against large groups of enemies while collecting resources and strengthening its defences.
Monsters are Coming! was already available in the Game Pass ecosystem before this August update, so it should not be described as a completely new Game Pass game.
The August 6 release brings the game to Xbox Series X|S and cloud gaming while also making it available through Game Pass Premium alongside Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
PowerWash Simulator 2
PowerWash Simulator 2 is another August 6 addition to the Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games lineup.
The sequel expands the cleaning simulation formula with new locations, equipment and additional gameplay features. Players can clean environments alone or with other players.
PowerWash Simulator 2 is now available through Game Pass Premium while also joining Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
The game supports cloud gaming, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Bounty Star Comes to More Game Pass Tiers
Bounty Star arrives in the Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games lineup on August 11.
Bounty Star combines third-person mech combat with farming, base building and mech customisation.
Players take control of Clem, a former soldier and experienced mech pilot who uses the Desert Raptor MKII combat suit.
The August 11 Game Pass update brings Bounty Star to Game Pass Premium alongside Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
It is playable through cloud gaming, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Date Everything! Joins Game Pass August 11
Date Everything! is one of the more unusual Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games arriving on August 11.
The game is a sandbox dating simulator built around the idea of forming relationships with everyday objects around a house.
There are 100 fully voiced datable characters, turning objects and concepts including furniture and household items into potential relationships.
Date Everything! will be available through Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass.
Supported platforms include cloud gaming, Xbox Series X|S, PC and supported handheld devices.
Grounded 2 Comes to Game Pass Premium
Grounded 2 is included among the Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games from August 11.
Grounded 2 is currently in Game Preview and continues the survival gameplay of the original Grounded, once again shrinking players to a tiny size and placing them in a much larger environment.
Players can collect resources, create weapons and armour, build bases and explore alone or through cooperative multiplayer.
The August Game Pass addition coincides with Grounded 2’s Into The Abyss update.
Grounded 2 is becoming available through Game Pass Premium while remaining available to eligible Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
Ball x Pit Joins More Game Pass Tiers
Ball x Pit is included in the Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games schedule for August 12.
Ball x Pit combines brick-breaking combat, roguelite progression, base building and character recruitment.
Players use bouncing and ricocheting balls to defeat enemies before using the resources earned during runs to develop their settlement.
Ball x Pit joins Game Pass Premium on August 12 alongside its availability through Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
It supports cloud, Xbox Series X|S, PC and supported handheld devices.
Cricket 26 Comes to Game Pass August 13
Cricket 26 is one of the Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games arriving on August 13.
The cricket simulation includes a management career mode, an expanded Ashes mode and Pro Team alongside its regular cricket gameplay.
Cricket 26 will be available with Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass.
Microsoft lists the supported platforms as cloud, console and PC.
Mio: Memories in Orbit
Mio: Memories in Orbit joins the Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games lineup on August 13.
Mio: Memories in Orbit is a metroidvania featuring an android named Mio exploring a large decaying environment populated by machines and reclaimed by nature.
Players explore interconnected environments, battle hostile machines and uncover information about Mio and the world.
The August 13 addition brings Mio: Memories in Orbit to Game Pass Premium alongside Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
It is available through cloud gaming, Xbox Series X|S, PC and supported handheld devices.
Sandustry Is a Day-One Game Pass Release
Sandustry is one of the most important Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games for PC subscribers because it arrives as a day-one Game Pass release.
Sandustry launches in Game Preview on August 13 for PC.
The factory automation game features fully destructible environments in which individual pixels function as resources that can be mined, moved, processed or destroyed.
Players explore underground environments, establish increasingly complicated production systems and search for technology and secrets connected to an ancient civilisation.
Sandustry is available through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Unlike many of the other games in the August Wave 1 announcement, Sandustry is genuinely launching directly into Game Pass rather than simply moving to an additional Game Pass tier.
Egging On Joins Game Pass August 18
Egging On is currently the final game dated in Microsoft’s first Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games announcement.
It arrives on August 18.
Egging On puts players in control of a fragile egg attempting to escape through environments including a henhouse, farm shop and factory.
Movement involves jumping, rolling and climbing while trying to avoid breaking the egg.
Egging On joins Game Pass Premium while also being available through Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
It supports cloud gaming, Xbox Series X|S, PC and compatible handheld devices.
Which Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games Are Actually New?
The Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games announcement can look larger than the number of completely new additions because Microsoft now lists games moving between Game Pass membership tiers alongside new releases.
| Game | What Is Changing in August? |
|---|---|
| Beast of Reincarnation | Day-one Game Pass release |
| Heretic + Hexen | Added across additional Game Pass tiers |
| Monsters are Coming! | Xbox Series X |
| PowerWash Simulator 2 | Added to Premium and other listed tiers |
| Bounty Star | Added to Premium and other listed tiers |
| Date Everything! | Game Pass addition |
| Grounded 2 | Added to Premium |
| Ball x Pit | Added to Premium |
| Cricket 26 | Game Pass addition |
| Mio: Memories in Orbit | Added to Premium |
| Sandustry | Day-one Game Pass release |
| Egging On | Added to Premium |
This distinction is important when looking at the Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games because a game appearing in Microsoft’s monthly announcement does not automatically mean that it has never previously been available through Game Pass.
Gears of War E-Day Beta Is Included With Game Pass
The Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games announcement also includes early access to the Gears of War: E-Day Open Beta.
Early access began on August 6 for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
The beta includes Horde Siege PvE, a new version of the traditional Gears cooperative survival mode designed around larger maps, increased player numbers and bigger battles.
Gears of War: E-Day itself is scheduled to launch on October 6, 2026, but the current August promotion allows eligible Game Pass members to play the multiplayer beta months before the full release.
The beta is a Game Pass benefit rather than a permanent addition to the Game Pass library.
Madden NFL 27 Has a 10-Hour Game Pass Trial
Madden NFL 27 also has an August Game Pass benefit through EA Play.
A 10-hour EA Play Early Access Trial became available on August 6 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members.
The trial is available on console, PC and cloud.
Eligible EA Play members also receive an EA Play Welcome Pack, a monthly Ultimate Team Pack and a 10 percent discount on Madden Points and other eligible purchases.
Madden NFL 27 should therefore be treated as a timed trial rather than one of the permanent Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games.
Call of Duty Warzone Game Pass Pack 7
Microsoft has also released Call of Duty: Warzone Game Pass Pack 7 as part of its current August Game Pass benefits.
The bundle is available to Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, Essential and PC Game Pass subscribers.
The pack contains:
| Warzone Game Pass Pack 7 Content |
|---|
| Two Operator Skins |
| Four Weapon Blueprints |
| Finishing Move |
| Weapon Charm |
| Emote |
| Equipment Skin |
| Calling Card |
| Emblem |
| Two Weapon Stickers |
| One-hour Double Weapon XP Token |
The items can be used with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone where applicable.
Xbox Game Pass Games Leaving in August 2026
Four games are currently confirmed to leave Game Pass on August 15.
| Game Leaving Game Pass | Platforms |
|---|---|
| Menace Game Preview | PC |
| Atlas Fallen | Cloud, Console, PC |
| Aliens: Fireteam Elite | Cloud, Console, PC |
| Firewatch | Cloud, Console, PC |
Players who want to continue playing these titles after August 15 will need to purchase them unless they become available through Game Pass again later.
More Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games Are Still Coming
The current Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games list is Microsoft’s first official wave for the month rather than necessarily the complete August lineup.
Microsoft normally announces additional Game Pass games later in the month.
One later August release is already officially confirmed separately. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy launches on August 27, 2026 and will be included with Game Pass on Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud.
The A Plague Tale prequel follows Sophia around 15 years before the events of A Plague Tale: Innocence and A Plague Tale: Requiem.
The confirmed Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Games calendar currently runs from Beast of Reincarnation on August 4 through Egging On on August 18, with Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy already confirmed separately for August 27.
