Wuthering Waves Vulkan mobile support expanded in Version 3.7, adding more Kirin, Dimensity and Exynos processors to the supported list. You can turn on Vulkan under Settings, Graphics, Vulkan, then restart the game for the change to take effect.

Vulkan and Frame Generation aren’t the same setting. The 3.7 patch expands Vulkan access to a larger group of processors, but the newly named Frame Generation chips are Dimensity 9300 and 9300+. Here’s how to tell which change applies to your phone.

Kuro Games added the following mobile processors in the 3.7 update. These are new additions, not the complete history of every chipset that could run Vulkan before the patch.

Processor family Newly supported models
Kirin 8000, 8000A
Dimensity 7200, 7200-Ultra, 8000, 8100, 8100-MAX, 8200, 8200-Ultimate, 8200-Ultra, 8250 Star Speed Edition, 7300, 7300-Ultra, 8300-Ultra, 8350, 7500
Exynos 1480

If your phone uses one of these processors, update the game and check Settings > Graphics for Vulkan. The developer requires a restart after switching it on. Make sure you know your actual chipset, since phones in the same product range can use different processors.

Notice that this isn’t a list of every previously compatible processor. For example, it doesn’t catalogue older Snapdragon support. If your chip isn’t named here, check the Vulkan setting in your game rather than assuming the feature is unsupported.

How to turn Vulkan on and restart

Go to Settings > Graphics > Vulkan and enable it. Restart Wuthering Waves afterwards so the change takes effect. Simply toggling the option and carrying on without restarting is not the activation process Kuro describes.

Vulkan is the game’s graphics renderer, not a separate app or a shortcut to a higher refresh rate. Kuro says enabling it improves performance and power consumption on supported mobile devices, but the results will depend on the hardware.

On Exynos 2600, 2500, 2400, 2200 and 1480 devices, Kuro says Vulkan is now enabled by default. Check whether it’s already selected before changing anything in the Wuthering Waves Vulkan mobile graphics menu.

Does Wuthering Waves Vulkan mobile include frame generation?

Mobile Frame Generation has a separate support expansion. Version 3.7 adds Dimensity 9300 and Dimensity 9300+ for this feature. Those are not the same as all the Kirin, Dimensity and Exynos chips in the Vulkan table.

To try it, enable Vulkan, restart as required, then open Settings > Graphics > Frame Generation. Don’t treat the setting as a promise of 120Hz output, higher native FPS or identical results on every phone. The in-game controls and device capability still matter.

Kuro’s power-use comparison is specifically about Frame Generation with the game capped at 60 FPS versus 60 FPS without Frame Generation. The patch gives no universal battery-saving percentage and no guarantee for every frame-rate setting.

Why is the Vulkan or Frame Generation option missing?

If the option is missing, check your phone’s processor, the game version and the Graphics menu. The chips added for Wuthering Waves Vulkan mobile are different from the Dimensity 9300 and 9300+ expansion for Frame Generation.

Restart after enabling Vulkan, then look for Frame Generation if your hardware is supported. If the control still isn’t there, don’t assume an unrelated PC graphics fix will enable it on Android. Check the actual device requirements.

Other Version 3.7 fixes addressed frame-generation problems on AMD graphics hardware and in the Mengzhou area. Those patch fixes are separate from the mobile processor eligibility list, so they shouldn’t be used to promise support for an unlisted phone.

Wuthering Waves Vulkan mobile settings: What to remember

For Wuthering Waves Vulkan mobile, the steps are Settings > Graphics > Vulkan, then restart. Frame Generation is a separate option that requires Vulkan first. Use the new-chip table to check the 3.7 expansion, not to rule out devices supported by older versions.
