Wuthering Waves 3.7 Story Replay: How Replay Mode Works

Wuthering Waves 3.7 Story Replay is a new Journey Log feature that lets players replay selected older story content without starting a new account. At launch, the replay library covers material from Versions 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3, with more chapters planned for future updates.

The important part is that Replay Mode is not a one-sitting feature. Progress saves automatically when you leave, so you can resume later, and the Journey Log also lets you reset replay progress manually if you want to restart the selected story.

How Wuthering Waves 3.7 Story Replay works

Wuthering Waves 3.7 Story Replay is accessed through the Journey Log. Choose one of the supported older stories, enter Replay Mode and play through that content again. When you exit Replay Mode, the game saves your position automatically.

Returning to the Journey Log gives you the choice to continue Wuthering Waves 3.7 Story Replay from the saved point or reset the replay progress. That makes the system useful both for players who only want to revisit a particular stretch of story and for anyone who wants to work through an older chapter again from the beginning.

Which quests can you replay in Version 3.7?

The initial Wuthering Waves 3.7 Story Replay library is limited rather than covering every Main Quest in Wuthering Waves. Kuro has confirmed the following content for the Version 3.7 launch:

• Version 1.1: Thaw of Eons main quests.
• Version 1.2: In the Turquoise Moonglow, the Moon-Chasing Festival event.
• Version 1.3: To the Shore’s End main quests.

That means Story Replay is starting with a defined set of older content instead of opening the entire campaign at once. Kuro says additional chapters will be added in future versions.

Does Story Replay save your progress?

Yes. Replay Mode progress is saved automatically when you leave. You do not have to complete the whole supported quest chain in one session.

When you return through the Journey Log, you can resume the replay from your saved point. If you would rather begin again, you can manually reset the replay progress instead.

Can Story Replay replace starting a new account?

For the supported story, that is the main advantage. You can revisit selected earlier quests on your existing account rather than creating a second account purely to watch old scenes or replay a chapter.

It is not yet a complete replacement for a full new playthrough because Version 3.7 only supports the specified 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 content. If the chapter you want is not in that initial list, you will need to wait for Kuro to extend the Replay Mode library.

Why Story Replay matters in Version 3.7

Wuthering Waves is a live-service game with a growing story, so older quests become increasingly difficult to revisit once they have been completed. Wuthering Waves 3.7 Story Replay creates an in-game route back to selected narrative content without forcing players to rely on recorded videos or a fresh account.

The feature also arrives in a story-heavy update. Version 3.7 continues the current arc with Chapter IV Act IV: Simulacrum of the Heart and adds the Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou, so the ability to revisit earlier chapters fits naturally alongside the new main quest.

What else changes in Version 3.7?

Story Replay is only one of several quality-of-life additions. Version 3.7 also introduces automatic stacking for eligible unequipped, non-upgraded Echoes with the same type, Sonata Effect and Mainstat, plus Resonance Mode-specific Echo recommendations for characters with two Resonance Modes.

The camera gains Handheld and Selfie Modes, team management expands to 20 setups, and Kuro is beginning a limited test of tiered client resource downloads on PC and mobile.
