Rainbow Six Siege Wasteland Circuit Challenges and Free Drone Skins

Wasteland Circuit Memento Weapon Skin collection reward in Rainbow Six Siege

Wasteland Circuit Challenges are one of the free ways to pick up rewards during Rainbow Six Siege’s September 2026 drone-racing event. The event also gives players a free Wasteland Circuit Collection Pack for logging in, while a separate Twitch campaign adds the OL’ CLANKER drone skin.

The important part is separating those reward routes. You do not earn every free cosmetic by simply winning races. Some rewards come from the live Challenges menu, the login pack is granted for entering during the event window, and OL’ CLANKER has its own three-hour Twitch requirement.

Where to find Wasteland Circuit Challenges

Open Rainbow Six Siege and check the Challenges area while Wasteland Circuit is active. The event objectives appear alongside the limited-time event rather than being part of the normal Battle Pass reward track. If a challenge has rotated, follow the objective currently shown in your client instead of an old screenshot or launch-day list.

This matters because Wasteland Circuit Challenges are weekly. A guide that hard-codes one objective as if it lasts for the whole event can become wrong after the reset. The live Challenges menu shows the requirement that counts for your current week and account.

The free Collection Pack is especially useful if you plan to chase the event collection. It gives you a Wasteland Circuit item without starting by buying packs, so claim the login reward before deciding how much more of the collection you want.

How to get the free event challenge drone skin

The in-game skin route is tied to Wasteland Circuit Challenges, not Twitch. Go to the current event challenge, read the live objective and complete it before that challenge expires. Once the requirement is complete, make sure the reward is actually claimed or registered before the weekly reset.

If the challenge progress is not moving, first make sure you are playing the Wasteland Circuit playlist rather than a standard Siege mode when the objective specifically requires event activity. It is also worth finishing the current match before judging the tracker, because challenge progress can update after the game returns you to the menus.

How to get the second free drone skin

The other free skin route is OL’ CLANKER. It is not one of the Wasteland Circuit Challenges. Ubisoft is giving that drone skin through Twitch from September 23 through October 13, with three hours of eligible Rainbow Six Siege viewing required.

Use our OL’ CLANKER drone skin guide for the account-linking and claiming steps. The short version is to connect Twitch and Ubisoft, watch eligible official Siege channels or selected partners until the Drop reaches three hours, then claim it from Twitch Inventory.

There is also a DRON-E Twitch chat badge during the campaign, but that should not be counted as another free skin. Ubisoft requires a qualifying paid, gifted or recurring subscription while an R6 creator is live in the correct category. Prime Gaming subscriptions do not qualify for that badge.

Do weekly challenges help with the Memento skin?

They can help indirectly if the current Wasteland Circuit Challenges award collection content, because every free event item reduces the amount of collection progress you still need. The Memento itself is a different reward: it is tied to completing the Wasteland Circuit Collection rather than to a single race or one weekly challenge.

If the Memento is your target, claim the login pack and complete free event objectives before spending on the remaining collection. Our Wasteland Circuit Memento weapon skin guide explains that collection-completion route, while the main Wasteland Circuit guide covers the racing rules and scoring.

What if Wasteland Circuit challenge progress is not counting?

  • Re-read the current live objective and make sure you are using the required playlist.
  • Finish the match and return to the menus before checking progress again.
  • Confirm the challenge has not rotated or expired.
  • Restart Siege if the reward is complete but the cosmetic has not appeared.
  • Do not use Twitch Drop progress as proof that an in-game event challenge is complete. They are separate systems.

The cleanest way to approach Wasteland Circuit Challenges is to check them before your first race of the week. That way you can work toward the active objective while learning the tracks instead of discovering later that several races could have counted toward a reward.

Official Wasteland Circuit reward information

Ubisoft’s official Wasteland Circuit Twitch announcement confirms the OL’ CLANKER three-hour reward and the separate DRON-E subscription rules. Ubisoft’s Operation Split Fire event page also confirms the limited-time drone-racing mode and its event window.

For the in-game side, trust the active Challenges menu for the current weekly wording. Wasteland Circuit Challenges can rotate during the event, but the practical strategy stays the same: collect the login pack, finish the live free challenge before it resets, and handle OL’ CLANKER separately through Twitch.
