Warzone Season 6 MPC-25 buff improves the SMG without changing its actual damage numbers. Maximum damage remains 42, but the strongest damage range extends from 13 metres to 13.5 metres. Battle Royale and Resurgence also receive lower recoil deviation and vertical recoil.
That makes Warzone Season 6 MPC-25 buff a consistency update. The gun keeps the same damage profile but holds its best damage slightly farther and becomes easier to control in Warzone-specific modes.
MPC-25 range change

The maximum-damage band now runs from zero to 13.5 metres instead of zero to 13 metres. Damage remains 42 inside that band.
The next range still ends at 23.5 metres and deals 37 damage. Because the first breakpoint moved out by half a metre, the middle band now starts at 13.5 metres instead of 13.
Warzone Season 6 MPC-25 buff does not alter the minimum damage of 27 beyond 23.5 metres.
Recoil buffs in Warzone
Battle Royale and Resurgence receive an 8 percent reduction to recoil deviation and a 10 percent reduction to vertical recoil. Those are direct control improvements.
Warzone Season 6 MPC-25 buff should therefore make repeated shots easier to keep centred, particularly as a target moves toward the edge of SMG range. Less vertical climb reduces the amount of downward correction needed during a sustained burst.
The recoil reductions are listed specifically for Battle Royale and Resurgence. The patch notes do not list the same recoil change for Multiplayer.
What the buff means for close-range fights
Half a metre of extra maximum-damage range is not a dramatic redesign, but close-range breakpoints can decide whether the final bullet lands in the strongest damage band. Combined with lower recoil, the weapon should feel more reliable around that transition.
Warzone Season 6 MPC-25 buff also arrives while the VST receives damage and range nerfs. That does not automatically make the MPC-25 the best SMG, but it changes the comparison between two close-range options.
If an old loadout was built around recoil control, retest whether you can trade one control attachment for handling, mobility or another benefit now that the base weapon is steadier in Warzone.
Did damage increase?
No. Warzone Season 6 MPC-25 buff keeps maximum damage at 42, middle damage at 37 and minimum damage at 27. The update extends the first range band and improves recoil behavior instead.
This distinction matters because a player looking only at damage numbers might think the MPC-25 was untouched. The practical buff comes from keeping 42 damage slightly farther and making bullets easier to land.
Is the MPC-25 worth using in Season 6?
The official patch gives it a stronger case than before. Warzone Season 6 MPC-25 buff targets exactly the qualities an SMG needs for reliable close-range work: range retention and recoil control.
It still competes with other SMGs on handling, movement, magazine size and time to kill. Those factors depend on your attachments and the distances you actually fight at. The MPC-25 still performs best inside SMG distances. Better recoil control does not remove the damage drop beyond its close and middle ranges.
Use the MPC-25 inside its intended range, take advantage of the calmer vertical behavior and check whether your old recoil-heavy build can be made faster.
Warzone Season 6 MPC-25 buff is a clean example of a balance change that improves consistency without inflating raw damage. The strongest band lasts a little longer and the gun is easier to control, which is enough reason to retest it against your current close-range choice.
Activision publishes the 13.5-metre breakpoint and Warzone-specific recoil reductions used in this Warzone Season 6 MPC-25 buff guide in the official Season 6 patch notes.
