The Sims 4 September 22 Free Content is now available with Patch 1.128, and the final live notes confirm the full base-game drop for children and toddlers. It includes eight named Build/Buy objects, new Create a Sim clothing, new hairstyles, new Styled Looks, a Styled Room and a Maxis Gallery household.
The Sims 4 September 22 Free Content does not require an Expansion Pack, Game Pack, Stuff Pack or Kit. Players need the current base-game update, which is PC 1.128.90.1030, Mac 1.128.90.1230 or Console 2.39.

The Sims 4 September 22 Free Content adds a compact but useful playroom and family-themed set to Build/Buy. EA’s final notes name all eight objects, removing the uncertainty from the earlier teaser.
- The Crayon Chronicle, a clutter notebook object.
- The Look What I Made! Frame.
- Family Game Night Favorites clutter.
- Junior Artist’s Paint Palette.
- Make-Believe Wall Mural.
- Bright Blocks Playroom Chair.
- Bright Blocks Playroom Table.
- The Dino Dive Tank aquarium.
EA shows the new collection in EA’s official September 22 patch notes. The Sims 4 September 22 Free Content is part of the free base game, so these items should appear after the September 22 update is installed.
New Create a Sim items for children
The Sims 4 September 22 Free Content gives child Sims several new clothing choices: a sweatshirt, polo shirt, khaki shorts, sequin top, ruffled blouse and jeans with lace detail. There is also one new ponytail hairstyle with bangs.
Four existing adult hairstyles have been converted for children as well: Messy Bangs, Afro Part, Long Braids and Ombre Long Braids. The conversions make the free drop more useful than a handful of single outfits because they expand everyday CAS options across multiple looks.
New toddler items
Toddlers receive three Create a Sim additions in The Sims 4 September 22 Free Content: a T-shirt, colourful glasses and a denim dress. EA’s live notes place these alongside the child-focused additions rather than behind a paid pack.
The update is primarily aimed at children, so the toddler section is smaller. It still gives base-game households a few new pieces without requiring Marketplace content or a separate purchase.
Styled Looks, Styled Room and Maxis household
The Sims 4 September 22 Free Content also includes new Styled Looks for kids and a new Styled Room. These are useful for players who want to see the new assets already combined rather than finding each item separately in CAS or Build/Buy.
EA also uploaded a new household to the Gallery from the Maxis account. The household is part of the update’s ready-to-play presentation, alongside the Styled Room and CAS looks.
How to get the September 22 free items
To get The Sims 4 September 22 Free Content, update the base game and confirm that the main menu shows the current Patch 1.128 version for your platform. The items are part of the patch rather than a separate DLC download.
If the new CAS or Build/Buy content does not appear, first remove filters that could hide base-game items and restart after the update completes. Modded catalogue filters or UI mods should be tested separately if the items appear in a clean game but disappear with custom files enabled.
The free drop arrives beside a much larger fixes pass
The Sims 4 September 22 Free Content is only one part of the September release. The same patch brings more than 95 fixes, a large autonomy pass, relationship tuning and multiple stability repairs.
That matters for modded saves because an item appearing correctly does not prove every mod is compatible with the new game version. Treat The Sims 4 September 22 Free Content as part of Patch 1.128 and complete a normal post-update mod check before opening an irreplaceable household.
