The The Sims 4 Lunar New Year Sale is one of those moments where it actually makes sense to expand your game. A large chunk of the DLC catalogue is reduced, and it covers far more than just one or two older packs. If you’ve been waiting to bulk out gameplay, build options, or Create-a-Sim without paying full price, this is the window to do it.
Here’s exactly what’s included, what’s reduced, and how long the sale lasts.
How long the Sims 4 Lunar New Year Sale runs
The Sims 4 Lunar New Year Sale sale runs until 17 February 2026.
Once that date passes, all discounted packs return to their usual prices, with no guarantee they’ll drop again anytime soon. If you’re planning to buy more than one pack, it’s worth deciding before the deadline rather than picking things up slowly later.
Expansion Packs on sale

Most older Expansion Packs are reduced during the Lunar New Year Sale. The general rule is simple: the longer a pack has been out, the bigger the discount.
The following Expansion Packs are currently reduced:
- Get to Work
- Get Together
- City Living
- Cats & Dogs
- Seasons
- Get Famous
- Island Living
- Discover University
- Eco Lifestyle
- Snowy Escape
- Cottage Living
- High School Years
- Growing Together
- For Rent
These are typically discounted by around 50%, making this one of the cheapest ways to pick them up outside of major end-of-year sales.
More recent Expansion Packs are also included, but with smaller reductions:
- Businesses & Hobbies
- Enchanted by Nature
These newer packs are discounted by a smaller percentage, which is normal for content that hasn’t been out as long.
The very newest Expansion Pack released most recently is not discounted during this sale.
Game Packs included in the sale

All standard Game Packs are reduced as part of the Lunar New Year Sale, usually by around 30%.
This includes:
- Outdoor Retreat
- Spa Day
- Dine Out
- Vampires
- Parenthood
- Jungle Adventure
- StrangerVille
- Realm of Magic
- Star Wars: Journey to Batuu
- Dream Home Decorator
- My Wedding Stories
- Werewolves
If you enjoy gameplay systems, story hooks, or world-specific content, this is the category where a lot of depth comes from, and the discounts make it much easier to experiment with packs you’ve been unsure about.
Stuff Packs on sale

Every Stuff Pack is discounted during the Lunar New Year Sale, generally by around 35%.
That includes all themed and lifestyle packs such as:
- Laundry Day Stuff
- Movie Hangout Stuff
- Vintage Glamour Stuff
- Kids Room Stuff
- Backyard Stuff
- Fitness Stuff
- Tiny Living Stuff
- Paranormal Stuff
- Home Chef Hustle Stuff
Stuff Packs are smaller, but this sale makes them much easier to justify, especially if you’re building out specific aesthetics or play styles.

Kits included in The Sims 4 Lunar New Year sale
Selected Kits are also discounted.
Not every Kit is included, but many of the older Build, CAS, and gameplay Kits see small reductions during this sale. Newer Kits tend to stay full price.
If you already know which Kits match your style, it’s worth checking them individually, this is one of the few times Kits drop below their standard pricing.
Are bundles discounted?
Yes, some bundles are reduced, but not all of them.
Pre-made bundles (rather than custom “Build Your Own” bundles) usually receive small percentage discounts. Whether they’re worth it depends entirely on whether you already own part of the bundle, so it’s worth checking before buying rather than assuming it’s automatically the best deal.
Is The Sims 4 Lunar New Year Sale worth it?
If you’re buying Expansion Packs released more than a year ago, this sale is genuinely one of the best times to do it. The discounts are consistent, predictable, and wide-ranging.
For newer packs, the savings are smaller, but still better than paying full price.
If you’re someone who dips in and out of The Sims rather than buying everything at launch, the Lunar New Year Sale is a sensible, low-pressure way to grow your collection without overspending.
