How to Unlock Cradle of Evolution in The First Descendant has one hard account requirement and one matchmaking recommendation to understand. Nexon says the new dungeon unlocks at Mastery Rank 18, after which it can be accessed through Tactical Transport Control in Albion or directly from the World Map.
The part that can confuse players about How to Unlock Cradle of Evolution in The First Descendant is the 81,580 Arche Activity value. That figure is required to start a Public Operation, but it does not completely lock you out of the dungeon because Private Operations can still be launched below the recommended Arche Activity.
How to Unlock Cradle of Evolution in The First Descendant: reach Mastery Rank 18
The first requirement for How to Unlock Cradle of Evolution in The First Descendant is Mastery Rank 18. If Cradle of Evolution is not available at all, check your Mastery Rank before worrying about matchmaking or assuming the patch has failed to unlock on your account.
Mastery Rank is account progression, so simply owning Ultimate Hailey or completing another new event does not replace this requirement. The dungeon itself is part of Update 1.4.3 and appears once the normal access condition is met.
Where to enter Cradle of Evolution
After unlocking it, How to Unlock Cradle of Evolution in The First Descendant gives you two access points. You can use the Tactical Transport Control NPC in Albion, or select the content through the World Map. Both routes lead to the same activity; the choice is simply about how you prefer to navigate the game.
If the update has only just finished installing, reconnecting after maintenance and checking those two access points is more useful than searching older mission boards that predate the new content.
Public Operations need 81,580 Arche Activity
Public matchmaking adds the second important threshold in How to Unlock Cradle of Evolution in The First Descendant. Nexon lists 81,580 Arche Activity as the requirement for Public Operations. If Public is unavailable even though the dungeon itself is unlocked, compare your current Arche Activity with that value.
This is a matchmaking gate rather than the underlying Mastery Rank unlock. It is possible to have access to Cradle of Evolution while still being below the Public Operation requirement.
Private Operations work below the public threshold
Private Operations are the workaround built directly into How to Unlock Cradle of Evolution in The First Descendant. Nexon explicitly says a Private Operation can still be started when Arche Activity is below 81,580. That means a lower-activity player can enter solo or with an arranged group instead of waiting until Public matchmaking becomes available.
Of course, being allowed to enter is not the same as being comfortably geared for the run. The dungeon has eight Combat Zones, new object mechanics and a Commander, so the recommended activity value is still a useful warning about expected difficulty.
What to do after unlocking Cradle
Once How to Unlock Cradle of Evolution in The First Descendant is complete, the dungeon becomes one of Update 1.4.3’s main progression hubs. It drops the Ultimate Hailey pattern at 25.7%, her two exclusive Transcendent Modules at 17.1% each, Transcendent Weapon Loot and several new materials.
It is also part of the weekly reward structure with Karel’s Mothership, making the unlock useful even if Ultimate Hailey is not your immediate goal.
