The First Descendant Accelerate Research Week is back from the October 15 update through November 16, 2026. Completing designated Accelerate Research content cuts time from every Research project currently running, and the event’s reduction is doubled from Friday through Sunday.
You don’t need to choose one Research project to speed up. If several projects are active when you finish eligible content, the acceleration applies to all of them. The exact reduction depends on the activity, so Nexon directs players to the World Map or Anais in Albion for the current content list and values.
How The First Descendant Accelerate Research Week works

During The First Descendant Accelerate Research Week, selected missions receive an Accelerate Research icon. Finish one of those activities and the listed amount of time is removed from each Research project you already have in progress.
The content and reduction values can change between events, which is why the game surfaces the current information directly. Open the World Map and look for the Accelerate Research icon, or speak to Anais in Albion and use the event information there.
Does Accelerate Research affect every ongoing Research?
Yes. Nexon says completing The First Descendant Accelerate Research Week content accelerates all ongoing Research. If five projects are running, all five receive the reduction when the eligible activity is completed.
That makes the event more valuable when several long Research timers are active at once. Starting the projects you actually need before farming Accelerate Research content lets each clear work across the whole queue instead of shortening only one timer.
Weekend Accelerate Research bonus
The reduction from The First Descendant Accelerate Research Week is doubled during the weekend period. Nexon defines that weekend window as Friday 00:00 through Sunday 23:59 PDT.
This is separate from Descendant’s Weekend, although the two events overlap on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Accelerate Research shortens Research timers, while Descendant’s Weekend boosts EXP, Weapon Proficiency, Gold and Kuiper in selected content.
Which content works with Accelerate Research?
The eligible list for The First Descendant Accelerate Research Week is shown in-game because the values can be rebalanced between events. The October update adds Onslaught Stage 5 to the Accelerate Research pool and adjusts the values for earlier Onslaught stages around their expected clear times.
Use the World Map’s event information before starting a farming session. If two activities both shorten Research but one also gives a reward you need, there is little reason to spend the same play time on the less useful option.
Does Dimensional Breach Stabilization stack with Accelerate Research?
Yes. Nexon confirms that The First Descendant Accelerate Research Week stacks with Dimensional Breach Stabilization effects. The event acceleration doesn’t replace the Research-time reduction from that system.
If you already have a Stabilization effect active, you can still complete Accelerate Research content and receive the event reduction on top of it. The two systems are designed to work together rather than forcing you to choose one.
What happens if you cancel Research?
Canceling an ongoing project removes any acceleration already applied to that Research. Restarting the same project later doesn’t restore the old The First Descendant Accelerate Research Week reduction.
So if you have already spent several clears shortening a long timer, check carefully before cancelling it. The acceleration belongs to the active Research instance, not to the recipe permanently.
Best way to use Accelerate Research Week
The most efficient use of The First Descendant Accelerate Research Week is to fill your Research queue with the projects you genuinely want before running the event content. Long timers gain the same direct reduction alongside shorter projects, so one clear can move several future unlocks closer at once.
Weekend farming is especially useful because the event reduction is doubled. If you were already planning Onslaught, Infiltration or another eligible activity, check whether it also overlaps with Battlefield Monster Hunter or Descendant’s Weekend so the same runs can progress more than one event goal.
When does Accelerate Research Week end?
The First Descendant Accelerate Research Week runs through November 16, 2026 at 10:59 p.m. PST. The weekend doubling continues on each Friday-to-Sunday window during that event period.
Because the eligible content and values are displayed live, use Anais or the World Map for the current reduction numbers rather than relying on a screenshot from an earlier Accelerate Research event.
