The October 26 Version 1.0 launch reset levels, money and equipment, but Halloween progress and rewards survived. You can keep growing pumpkins and collecting Candy without restarting the seasonal event.
SEVERANCE Halloween event end date and UK time
The deadline is 6 PM GMT on Monday, November 2, not midnight on Halloween. Finish outstanding pumpkins before then.
The SEVERANCE Halloween event has 36 unique rewards, including cosmetics and decorations. Open fully grown pumpkins for random items, and complete more investigations to grow further pumpkins.
How to get Candy during the Halloween event
Candy is the seasonal currency. Sykes Games says you earn Candy by playing and completing investigations. Keep running contracts, finishing objectives and building your normal progression while accumulating event Candy.
Spend Candy to speed up pumpkin growth, or let them grow as you play. Upgrading the Pumpkin Patch unlocks rarer pumpkin types with better reward possibilities.
Finish investigations to earn more Candy, then return to your patch. Use the currency for growth or patch upgrades, depending on whether you’re opening a pumpkin soon or working towards rarer rewards.
How to grow pumpkins and claim Halloween rewards
The Pumpkin Patch is where event cosmetics come from. Sykes Games describes a simple progression loop: earn Candy, grow pumpkins through play or by spending that Candy, then open them once fully grown.
- Play investigations to earn Candy.
- Return to your Pumpkin Patch to work on growing pumpkins.
- Continue playing or spend Candy to advance pumpkin growth.
- Open a fully grown pumpkin to receive a random seasonal cosmetic reward.
- Upgrade the Pumpkin Patch for access to rarer pumpkin types and better reward chances.
Pumpkin rewards range from Common to Legendary. Open a mature pumpkin for a random item and upgrade the patch to access rarer types.
What rewards can you unlock?
The collection includes clothing, tattoos and lobby props. These change your character and lobby appearance, not your investigation equipment.
Sykes Games lists 36 unique Halloween rewards. Different pumpkins produce different rarity tiers, so upgrading your patch is the way to reach rarer cosmetics.
Check your existing collection before playing again. The SEVERANCE Halloween event rewards were specifically protected from the October 26 wipe.
Halloween map changes in Tarpon Springs and Sunset Studios
Tarpon Springs and Sunset Studios both received temporary Halloween makeovers. Sunset Studios also had changes to its exterior scenery and added environmental assets. You can keep playing investigations on these locations while working towards the event collection.
The Character Customizer also has a cleaner interface, making it easier to equip the Halloween clothing and tattoos you unlock.
Did Version 1.0 reset SEVERANCE Halloween rewards?
No. Sykes Games intentionally reset normal levels, money, equipment, lobby progression and general progression when Version 1.0 arrived on October 26. The same notes explicitly say Halloween progress and earned rewards survive.
Halloween progress carries over after full release. Your SEVERANCE Halloween event items remain, although ordinary cash and equipment must be earned again. See our progress reset guide for the details.
Best way to finish the event before November 2
Spend your remaining investigations on earning Candy and opening any fully grown pumpkins. Put Candy towards growth or Pumpkin Patch upgrades depending on whether you’re prioritising more openings or reaching rarer reward pools. Complete contracts as normal so the time spent also earns progression in the new 1.0 system.
