Reverse 1999 Euphoria unlock requirements start with main story 1ST-16, Heaven Apostles. After that, a supported six-star arcanist needs Insight III Level 30, while a supported five-star needs Insight III Level 1.
The key word is supported. Not every character has an Euphoria enhancement, even after reaching those levels. Version 3.8 added Hissabeth and J; the permanent system already had other eligible characters.
Reverse 1999 Euphoria unlock requirements for each rarity
| Supported character | Minimum level |
|---|---|
| Six-star arcanist | Insight III Level 30 |
| Five-star arcanist | Insight III Level 1 |
Before you spend materials, check both your story progress and the character’s rarity. Six-star and five-star arcanists have different Insight III minimums, and neither requirement can be skipped by owning another eligible character.
Finish 1ST-16, Heaven Apostles, then open the character you want to improve. Check their Insight rank and level. A supported six-star must reach Insight III Level 30; a supported five-star needs Insight III Level 1.
These Reverse 1999 Euphoria unlock requirements are eligibility thresholds, not a complete character roster. If Bluepoch hasn’t released an enhancement for the character, levelling them further won’t make a missing Euphoria upgrade appear.
How to check Euphoria on a supported character
Once your account meets the story requirement and the character reaches the right level, open their enhancement options. An arcanist with Euphoria support will have the relevant upgrade information available there.
If you can’t find an Euphoria option, check the character’s eligibility in Bluepoch’s announcements. Don’t assume it’s a bug simply because another arcanist of the same rarity can use the system.
Reverse 1999 Euphoria unlock requirements apply to each character individually. Reaching the threshold on one arcanist doesn’t unlock enhancements for your entire roster.
Look at the materials and effects shown on the supported character’s upgrade screen before committing resources. Costs and improvements depend on the character, so a build for someone else isn’t a reliable shopping list.
Hissabeth and J in Version 3.8
Hissabeth and J joined the Euphoria-supported roster with Version 3.8 on 24 September 2026. Bluepoch names both as this update’s additions, not as the only Euphoria characters in the game.
For context, Windsong and Lopera were already added in an earlier update. If you see a guide listing only Hissabeth and J, it is describing the latest additions, not everyone who can receive an enhancement.
For Reverse 1999 Euphoria unlock requirements on Hissabeth or J, start with the story gate, then raise the character to the applicable Insight III threshold. Open the individual enhancement screen to see the actual effects and upgrade resources.
Is Euphoria a permanent feature?
Yes. Euphoria is permanent. Version 3.8 expanded the supported roster, but Bluepoch’s update does not set a 5 November expiration for the enhancement system itself.
The separate Euphoria and Lucidity activity has its own limited-time rewards. Its event calendar is not a deadline for using Euphoria on an eligible character.
If you’re also playing Puppet Arena or The Midnight Whistle, you can prioritise their time-limited rewards without losing access to the permanent Euphoria system on 5 November.
Reverse 1999 Euphoria unlock requirements troubleshooting
First check your story record. If Heaven Apostles isn’t complete, the account hasn’t met Bluepoch’s Euphoria prerequisite.
Next check the character’s level. An eligible six-star needs Insight III Level 30; an eligible five-star needs Insight III Level 1. Simply reaching Insight III isn’t enough for the six-star threshold.
Finally, confirm that Bluepoch actually supports the character. Reverse 1999 Euphoria unlock requirements include an eligible roster, so a character outside that list can still be missing the option at the correct level.
The checklist is straightforward: finish Heaven Apostles, confirm Euphoria support for your chosen arcanist, reach the relevant Insight III level and inspect the enhancement options. No limited-time banner is required for that process.
