Pokémon UNITE October 2026 Balance Patch arrived on October 13 as part of Vortex of Astral Thunder, changing ten Pokémon and repairing four battle bugs. Solgaleo, Slowbro, Ho-Oh, Inteleon and Miraidon received buffs, while Morpeko, Cinderace, Dragapult, Latios and Latias were nerfed. The patch also introduces Jolteon and Flareon through Eevee-themed events.
It’s more than a collection of simple percentage changes. Solgaleo can now finish Psyshock despite hindrances, while Morpeko has a later Spark cooldown trigger and reduced shields. Below are the complete values from the developer’s October 13 notes, what they mean for move choices, and the distinction between a repaired Mewtwo Mega Evolution issue and a newly investigated one.
Pokémon UNITE October 2026 Balance Patch: release date and affected Pokémon
The patch was scheduled for 07:00 UTC on October 13, equivalent to 08:00 BST. Restart Pokémon UNITE if the updated values haven’t appeared. The game may briefly disconnect during maintenance, but the changes are intended for live matches, not a separate preview server.

Pokémon UNITE October 2026 Balance Patch: Every buff: all five strengthened Pokémon
| Pokémon | Move or stat | Exact change |
|---|---|---|
| Solgaleo | Iron Head | Cooldown 6.5→6 seconds; second stage window 2→3 seconds |
| Solgaleo | Psyshock | Movement boost 13%→18%; no longer cancelled by hindrances |
| Solgaleo | Shining Meteor Crush | Radiant Sun duration 10→15 seconds |
| Slowbro | Defence and Sp. Defence | Defence 70–480→70–540; Sp. Defence 60–420→60–480 |
| Slowbro | Scald and Surf | Burn duration 3→4 seconds; Surf cooldown 7→6.5 seconds |
| Ho-Oh | Sacred Fire | Hindrance 0.6→0.8 seconds; burned enemy Attack reduction 10%→30% |
| Ho-Oh | Sacred Fire+ | Attack reduction from burn 20%→40% |
| Ho-Oh | Flamethrower | Damage increased 5% |
| Inteleon | Snipe Shot | Damage increased 10% |
| Inteleon | Azure Spy Vision | Unite energy requirement 100,000→90,000 |
| Miraidon | Thunder and Parabolic Charge | Cooldowns 10→9 seconds and 11→10 seconds |
| Miraidon | Electro Drift | Damage increased 10% |
Solgaleo has the broadest combination of improvements in the Pokémon UNITE October 2026 Balance Patch. Iron Head is available more frequently, Psyshock gives additional movement speed and can no longer be interrupted by enemy hindrances. Radiant Sun lasts five seconds longer, improving its Unite Move follow-up window.
Slowbro now has greater durability and more frequent Surf control. Ho-Oh’s Sacred Fire burn weakens enemy Attack substantially more than before, especially when upgraded. Inteleon’s accurate Snipe Shots are more rewarding and Azure Spy Vision needs less energy. Miraidon benefits regardless of whether you choose Thunder, Parabolic Charge or Electro Drift.
Pokémon UNITE October 2026 Balance Patch: Every nerf: Morpeko, Cinderace, Dragapult, Latios and Latias
| Pokémon | Move or stat | Exact change |
|---|---|---|
| Morpeko | Spark | Full Belly second-stage damage reduced 18–28%; shield 20%→15% of max HP; cooldown begins after second hit or its expiration |
| Morpeko | Assurance | Damage reduced 15%, excluding additional damage against paralysed targets |
| Cinderace | Blaze Kick+ | Attack-speed boost 45%→30% |
| Cinderace | Feint | Cooldown 9→9.5 seconds |
| Dragapult | Dragon Dance+ | Healing 25%→15% of basic attack damage |
| Latios | Telekinesis | Cooldown 7.5→9 seconds |
| Latias | Dragon Breath | Damage bonus per Eon Power stack 0.5%→0.4% |
Morpeko takes the largest set of nerfs: both damage and shielding are weaker and Spark’s cooldown begins later in Full Belly Mode. That should make overly aggressive dives less forgiving. Cinderace trades some Blaze Kick+ attack speed and Feint availability for lower overall pressure, while Dragapult receives substantially less self-healing during Dragon Dance+.
Latios has to wait longer between Telekinesis uses and Latias receives less scaling per Eon Power stack on Dragon Breath. None of these Pokémon UNITE October 2026 Balance Patch nerfs removes a move or makes a Pokémon unplayable, but they affect how often you can safely commit to fights.

Pokémon UNITE October 2026 Balance Patch: All four bugs fixed on October 13
| Pokémon | Move or stat | Exact change |
|---|---|---|
| Solgaleo | Shining Meteor Crush | Previously interrupted if Slowbro Telekinesis or Snorlax Heavy Slam displaced its target before the charge |
| Armarouge | Psykaboom | Knockback direction corrected to push targets outwards from the created area |
| Mewtwo X and Y | Mega Evolution | Could fail after a KO just before a Mega gauge became full |
| Palkia | Multi Dimensional Rend | Maximum-extra-hit effect appeared at incorrect times |
The developer separately updated its known-issues notice on October 14. It is investigating another Mewtwo X/Y problem where a Pokémon knocked out with a full Mega gauge before Level 5 can Mega Evolve on revival and continue doing so before Level 5. That isn’t the same as the October 13 issue fixed by the patch.
Pokémon UNITE October 2026 Balance Patch: which move builds benefit most?
Solgaleo players gain a stronger reason to try Psyshock and Iron Head, particularly when opponents can disrupt attacks. Slowbro’s Surf cooldown reduction benefits control-focused builds, while the improved Scald burn supports an alternative approach. Ho-Oh’s Sacred Fire offers additional value into opposing physical attackers.
For Miraidon, shorter Thunder and Parabolic Charge cooldowns and higher Electro Drift damage each strengthen their relevant setups. Inteleon players who consistently land Snipe Shot receive a straight damage increase; it’s less useful if those narrow shots regularly miss. None of those implications is a confirmed new ranked win-rate statistic.
Pokémon UNITE October 2026 Balance Patch: How should players adapt to the nerfs?
Morpeko users should be more selective about Spark engages because the shield is smaller and the next use is delayed until after the second stage resolves or expires. Cinderace’s reduced Blaze Kick+ attack speed weakens that specific aggressive window, while Feint is less frequent. Dragapult cannot sustain as reliably with Dragon Dance+ and may need a safer position in extended fights.
The Pokémon UNITE October 2026 Balance Patch also makes Latios’ Telekinesis timing more important. Latias still stacks Eon Power, but its per-stack Dragon Breath damage bonus is lower. Before changing held items, try the updated move in practice mode and check how it fits your usual teammates.
Pokémon UNITE October 2026 Balance Patch: Which Pokémon got the biggest changes?
Solgaleo stands out among the buffs because the patch changes cooldowns, the effectiveness of Psyshock and the Unite Move duration together. Slowbro and Ho-Oh have strong defensive improvements. Morpeko’s Spark changes are the most substantial nerf package, followed by important adjustments to Dragapult’s healing and Cinderace’s attack speed.
A numerical balance adjustment alone doesn’t establish a new definitive best-build ranking. Team composition, map matchups and how opponents adapt determine results. The tables here provide the exact October numbers so you can update an existing build on evidence rather than repeat an old tier-list recommendation.
