Pokémon UNITE Aeos Crown 2027 is the game’s new international competition, with online qualifiers starting December 5, 2026 and the Tokyo finals on March 20 and 21, 2027. Registration is already open for Europe and several other regions, and the overall prize pool is US$1 million.

Aeos Crown replaces UNITE’s slot at the 2027 Pokémon World Championships. For UK players, the immediate job is registering for the European qualifier by December 5, not booking a trip to Tokyo. Only teams that qualify reach the offline finals.

Pokémon UNITE Aeos Crown 2027 Europe registration and qualifier dates

Europe’s online qualifier runs on December 5–6 and December 12–13, 2026, with three spots at the Tokyo finals. Registration opened October 27 and closes December 5. North America has four finals spots, while Brazil also has three.

Registration dates depend on where your team competes. For example, India’s deadline is December 2, ahead of its December 5–6 qualifier, and Japan’s qualifiers run in January and February 2027. Don’t use the Europe closing date if you’re competing in another region.

How to register for Pokémon UNITE Aeos Crown 2027

  1. Open the official Pokémon UNITE regional registration announcement linked at the bottom of this guide.
  2. Find your region in the qualifier table. For a UK team, use the Europe entry.
  3. Follow that region’s registration website link, then read its eligibility conditions and team requirements.
  4. Submit your registration within the region’s deadline. For Europe, that is December 5, 2026.
  5. Follow your regional organiser’s schedule for the online matches and check-in process.

The regional registration page is where you check the roster, residence and account requirements. Not every region has an active signup page yet, and choosing a different region just because its form is open isn’t a substitute for meeting the rules.

Pokémon UNITE Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo finals dates and format

The Tokyo finals take place March 20–21, 2027. There are 32 places in the event, including the reigning world champions ZETA DIVISION. The other teams qualify through their regional competitions, and every qualified team receives a travel award for Tokyo.

The first day puts the 32 teams into eight groups of four. After the round-robin matches, the top two from each group advance to a 16-team single-elimination bracket on day two. Both finals days use All-Star Draft, so teams should prepare around that format rather than assume ordinary ranked-play selection rules.

All-Star Draft applies on the final day of the regional qualifiers, too. The Tokyo matches will be broadcast online, but the organiser isn’t offering general-admission spectator seating at the venue. Watching the official stream is the option for most fans.

Pokémon UNITE Aeos Crown 2027 prize money

The organiser has confirmed US$1 million in total awards, split into $500,000 for regional qualifiers and $500,000 for the Tokyo finals. These totals include supplementary awards. The winning team also receives the physical Aeos Crown.

Final placementPrize per team
1st$100,000
2nd$70,000
3rd–4th$50,000
5th–8th$30,000
9th–16th$10,000
17th–24th$3,000
25th–32nd$750

The Tokyo amounts in the table are team prizes, not payments promised to each player. Regional qualifier prize details sit in the relevant rulebook, and travel awards go to teams that reach Tokyo rather than everyone who signs up.

Why Pokémon UNITE Aeos Crown 2027 replaces Worlds

The Pokémon Company announced in July that UNITE wouldn’t be part of the 2027 Pokémon World Championships and would instead get its own international competition. The early plan was tentative; the newer official regional registration announcement and tournament information confirm the current schedule and awards.

The finals finish just before the game’s shutdown on March 23, 2027 at 00:00 UTC. That date ends online matches on Nintendo Switch and mobile, so the Crown competition is also UNITE’s final major international tournament under the announced schedule.

What UK teams should do before December 5

If you’re entering Pokémon UNITE Aeos Crown 2027 from the UK, check the Europe qualifier page, read its eligibility and roster rules and complete the signup before December 5. Then confirm your team knows the match schedule and check-in instructions. It is worth practising a wider set of Pokémon ahead of the All-Star Draft stages.

The Europe qualifier and Tokyo finals are separate stages with different dates. Our Pokémon UNITE shutdown guide explains the March closure, while the official Pokémon UNITE announcement linked below leads to regional signup pages and their rules.
