Pokémon UNITE Library Download becomes available on November 12, 2026, at 04:00 GMT. It will let players look through their owned Pokémon, Holowear, outfits and certain records even after the online servers close on March 23, 2027. To use it after shutdown, though, you must finish its first data download before the servers close.
This isn’t a backup file you can export to your computer and restore whenever you like. The game downloads Library assets when you play the updated version or first open the feature. You’ll want to do that on the Switch or phone you plan to keep, because the data generally won’t move with you to another device.
How to complete the Pokémon UNITE Library Download
- Wait until November 12, 2026, at 04:00 GMT, when the feature is scheduled to launch.
- Update Pokémon UNITE and open it on the device you intend to keep.
- Continue playing normally after the update, or open the Library feature when it becomes available.
- Allow the required Library assets to finish their initial download while the online service is active.
- Keep the game’s Library data on that device. Do not assume a reinstall or device change will restore it after shutdown.
The Pokémon UNITE Library download begins with the November 12 update. Open the updated game and either play normally or enter the Library to start the first set of assets downloading. Let that finish while the servers are running. The hard deadline is March 23, 2027 at 00:00 GMT, not the day the feature launches.
Once the initial download has finished, newly collected items and records are added to the Library as you earn them. You can continue playing and collecting until shutdown, but keep the downloaded files on the device where you completed the setup.

The Library lets you look back at your collection, rather than continue the online game. You can display owned Pokémon, Holowear and Trainer fashion, explore the Practice Area to view moves and effects, and use snapshot options to arrange commemorative pictures.
Unite Snapshot lets you use the frames, stickers, outfits, backgrounds, poses and expressions you’ve collected. The Closet shows your Trainer fashion, and the records section includes achievements and tournament participation. Those records are not video recordings of all your old battles.
Can you still use held items and boost emblems offline?
Held items, battle items and boost emblems are there to view, not to upgrade or put into new matches. If you want to finish improving held items or merging emblems, do it while regular online play is still running, before March 23.
The Practice Area is for examining Pokémon moves and Holowear effects. You won’t be able to start ranked, standard or quick battles from the Library once the main servers have shut down.
Can you move Pokémon UNITE Library Download data to another device?
Plan on keeping your Library data on one device. The Pokémon Company warns that it generally cannot be transferred when you change phones or Switch systems. Linking the same UNITE account on another device is not a confirmed way to recover the downloaded offline assets after the servers close.
If you remove the app or lose its Library files after the servers close, those files might be gone for good. The company will stop supporting the Library when service ends, so don’t uninstall the game, clear its data or replace your device assuming you’ll be able to download everything again.

What if the Pokémon UNITE Library Download is missing?
If the Library isn’t visible before November 12 at 04:00 GMT, the update hasn’t reached its scheduled launch time. After release, install the latest game version and open the Library or play normally to begin the asset download. The exact file size and final menu layout are not yet available in the developer’s announcement.
If the first download won’t finish once the update is available, check that the game is up to date and the device has a stable connection and enough free storage. Contact Pokémon Support before the March 23 shutdown if the problem continues, because help with the Library ends when the online service does.
Pokémon UNITE Library Download deadline and checklist
The Pokémon UNITE Library download should be completed well before the shutdown rather than left to the final evening. The most useful check is that the initial files have downloaded successfully on the device you intend to keep using offline.

Will the Aeos Crown tournament affect your Pokémon UNITE Library Download?
The competitive Pokémon UNITE Aeos Crown 2027 finals take place in Tokyo on March 20–21, just before the March 23 shutdown. The Library is expected to display tournament participation records, but it is not a way to replay those matches or keep the online tournament running after service ends.
You can keep playing online matches and collecting Holowear before March 23. The important part of the Pokémon UNITE Library Download is completing the initial asset download on the device you intend to keep using before the server deadline, not merely signing in before the closure.
