Overwatch Mystery Madness Offerings: How to Vote and Earn Them

Overwatch Mystery Madness offerings are earned by completing Halloween event challenges and used to vote on which Hero enters Graveyard Games next. Blizzard’s Season 5 event lets you pledge them to Ashe, Moira or Winston. You can back one Hero or split your Offerings among several, and every Offering you pledge also grants Battle Pass XP.

The result is decided by the whole community, not by your individual account. The highest-voted Hero arrives next, while all three are due to join by the final week. This guide covers how to gather Offerings, cast your votes and collect the Battle Pass XP that comes with them.

How to earn Overwatch Mystery Madness offerings

Complete the seasonal Graveyard Games challenges to collect Offerings. Blizzard also describes a repeatable challenge for players who keep playing Mystery Madness, giving you another way to earn voting currency after finishing other event tasks.

Check the Halloween event challenges for tasks that award Offerings, then complete those objectives. Graveyard Games runs 6 October to 2 November 2026. The in-game event timer is the place to check when the final voting period closes.

How to vote with Overwatch Mystery Madness offerings

Once you’ve earned Offerings, return to the graveyard voting interface in the event. Choose Ashe, Moira or Winston and pledge the Offerings you’ve collected. Blizzard explicitly allows you to concentrate on a single Hero or divide your support.

The Hero who receives the most community Offerings is summoned into the next stage of Graveyard Games. Your personal choice counts towards the shared result; it doesn’t instantly unlock the chosen Hero on your account. You also earn Battle Pass XP for each Offering pledged, so the currency is useful even if your preferred Hero doesn’t win that round.

Should you vote for Ashe, Moira or Winston?

Pick whichever hero you’d most like to see join Graveyard Games next. Every Offering pledged gives Battle Pass XP, whether you vote for Ashe, Moira or Winston. There’s no reason to split your votes unless you genuinely want to support more than one of them.

All three named Heroes are scheduled to enter by the final week. That makes Overwatch Mystery Madness offerings a way of influencing the order of new arrivals, not a permanent winner-takes-all decision. Blizzard says the mode eventually expands to 20 playable Heroes, so the playable pool changes as the event progresses.

Do Offerings give Battle Pass XP?

Yes. Every Offering you pledge grants Battle Pass XP, separate from its contribution to the community vote. Your progression also benefits from the challenges you complete to earn the Offerings in the first place.

Overwatch Mystery Madness offerings aren’t a way to buy skins, Mythic Prisms or Overwatch Coins. They count towards a community vote and grant Battle Pass XP. If you’re working towards a Season 5 Battle Pass reward, that XP helps you progress through the track normally.

Offerings vs weekly Halloween Event Pass rewards

Blizzard adds a new Event Pass each week of Mystery Madness, with cosmetic rewards and a milestone to earn at the end. These weekly passes are part of the Halloween festivities but do not replace the Offerings vote.

Use the Event Pass screen when you’re chasing a particular cosmetic. Use the voting area when you want to spend Overwatch Mystery Madness offerings on the next Hero addition. The mode, Event Passes and normal Battle Pass are connected to Season 5, but they have different progress requirements.

What happens when the winning Hero is added?

The game adds the community-selected Hero to the Graveyard Games roster. It’s worth checking the available Hero pool again after a vote resolves, particularly if you played during the first week when fewer characters were in rotation.

The gameplay remains a 5v5, best-of-three Control format with one Tank, two Damage and two Supports. Players get a random role and Hero choices, and pick Powers after levelling and dying. Our Mystery Madness rules guide explains those details so you know what to expect when you load into a match.

Check the active event challenges first. If you completed a match but haven’t received Offerings, look at the exact objective and whether the reward has been claimed. Regular match completion and a particular event challenge are not always the same thing.

If your Offering balance drops after voting, that’s normal: the Offerings have been pledged to the community vote. You earn Battle Pass XP for pledging, but the currency isn’t an item you can spend in the shop.

Overwatch Mystery Madness offerings: quick answers

Can I vote more than once? Yes. Earn and pledge more Offerings; Blizzard doesn’t describe the system as a single permanent vote.

Will I lose access to the other Heroes? No. Ashe, Moira and Winston are all planned for the final week.

When does the event end? Blizzard lists November 2, 2026; use the current event clock for the exact cutoff.
