As we approach the end of 2022, Pokemon Go is giving players not one, but 2 community days, beginning with the December Community Day Part 1.

Featuring the Pokemon that appeared in the 2021 and 2022 Community Days, as well as bonuses, timed research, exclusive moves, and a vast range of shiny Pokemon up for grabs, this really is the event of the year!

Let’s take a look below at all the details.

December Community Day Part 1 – The Details

Beginning Saturday, December 17, at 2:00 PM Local Time, until Saturday, December 17, at 5:00 PM Local Time, the December Community Day Part 1 gives trainers only 3 hours to try and earn everything possible. And with so much up for grabs, it will be the time to head outdoors and hunt down Pokemon taking full advantage of the Daily Adventure Incense!

For the duration of both December Community Day Part 1 and Part 2, the following bonuses will be available:

  • Increased Spawns
  • 2x Catch XP
  • 2x Stardust for catching Pokemon
  • 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event period
  • 2x Catch Candy
  • 2x Chance to receive Candy XL from catching Pokemon
  • 3-hour Incense
  • 3-hour Lures
  • One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day
  • Trades made will require 50% less Stardust

Who will be spawning in the wild?

For each day, a different set of Pokemon will be spawning more frequently in the wild.

For Part 1, trainers can expect to see the following Pokemon more frequently:

  • Alolan Sandshrew
  • Alolan Geodude
  • Hoppip
  • Spheal
  • Stufful
  • Bulbasaur
  • Dratini
  • Mudkip

And as an added bonus, all of the Pokemon listed are available in their shiny form too!

2km Eggs December Community Day Part 1 – Who’s hiding inside?

As the event time frame is short, the Pokemon featured for the day will be available within 2km eggs instead of the usual 7km eggs.

Event Exclusive Research December Community Day Part 1

Event Exclusive Research will be available for the December Community Day Part 1 and Part 2.

For the price of $1 or the local currency equivalent, the research will enable trainers to complete an exclusive set of challenges and earn rewards as they do!
