The Minecraft Villager News Add-On Price is 1,170 Minecoins on the Bedrock Marketplace. That gets you the official Villager News 1.0 collaboration between Oreville Studios and Element Animation, including more than 2,000 voiced reactions, animated dialogue, reputation and gossip systems, special characters and unique trades.
Because Marketplace uses Minecoins, the real-money cost is not quite as simple as converting 1,170 coins at one fixed rate. Minecoin bundle prices vary by platform and region, and you may already have coins sitting on your account.
What is the Minecraft Villager News Add-On Price?
The Marketplace listing sets the Minecraft Villager News Add-On Price at 1,170 Minecoins. The add-on launched on September 8, 2026 and is sold as Bedrock Edition Marketplace content rather than a free Java mod.
That price covers the Add-On itself. Oreville Studios also confirms compatibility with Actions & Stuff, but Actions & Stuff is a separate product and is not required simply to run Villager News.
If you already own enough Minecoins, you can purchase Villager News directly from its Marketplace page. If not, Minecraft will offer Minecoin bundles appropriate to your platform and storefront.
How much is 1,170 Minecoins in real money?
There is no single exact cash figure that applies to every player because Minecoins are purchased in bundles. Your platform, country, taxes and the bundle you select can all affect how much you actually spend to obtain at least 1,170 Minecoins.
Launch-week reporting put the effective cost around the price of a small premium add-on, but the Marketplace's displayed Minecoin price is the figure to trust. Check your own storefront before buying rather than relying on a dollar or pound conversion from another region.
The Minecraft Villager News Add-On Price can also feel lower if you already have unused Minecoins, since you only need enough account balance to reach 1,170.
Is Villager News included with Minecraft?
No. Owning Minecraft Bedrock Edition does not automatically add Villager News to your account. It is creator-made Marketplace content sold separately.
The same applies if you have watched Element Animation's Villager News series for years. The 2026 pack is an official collaboration inspired by that work, but it is still a standalone Marketplace purchase.
What features are included for 1,170 Minecoins?
The headline number is more than 2,000 voiced reactions. Villagers can respond to mobs, blocks and player actions, with expressive animation and lip syncing accompanying the dialogue.
There are also player reputation and gossip systems. That makes the pack more than a voice replacement: villagers can react to how you behave and information can influence their response to the player.
Special characters and unique trades round out the major advertised features. Those are particularly relevant if you enjoy survival villages because they provide things to discover and interact with rather than simply changing ambient dialogue.
Do I need to buy Actions & Stuff too?
No. Oreville lists Villager News as compatible with Actions & Stuff, which is useful if you already use that pack, but compatibility is not the same as a dependency.
You can therefore judge the Minecraft Villager News Add-On Price on the Villager News features themselves. Do not add the price of Actions & Stuff unless you independently want that animation and texture overhaul as well.
Is there a free Villager News download?
The official Villager News 1.0 Add-On is paid Marketplace content. Be cautious with sites offering the current Marketplace product as a free downloadable copy, particularly if they ask you to install unfamiliar files.
Older Villager News-themed community content may exist, but that does not make it the same product. The 2026 release discussed here is the Oreville Studios and Element Animation collaboration.
Can the price change?
Marketplace creators and promotions can change how content is sold over time, so it is always worth checking the live listing before purchasing. At the time of this guide, the Minecraft Villager News Add-On Price is 1,170 Minecoins.
If the listing later joins a subscription promotion or sale, the storefront will be the definitive source. The important part is to check the product ID and creator so you know you are looking at Villager News 1.0 by Oreville Studios rather than a similarly named pack.
