Minecraft Dungeons II Twisted Chicken Pet is the strange soul-touched companion included in the limited preorder bundle. It arrives with the Twisted Cape and two additional hero skins, giving preorder players a matching cosmetic set without changing the underlying combat rules or equipment progression.
Unlike the Twisted Cape, Mojang has not described the chicken as a cross-game Java or Bedrock reward. The pet belongs to Dungeons II, so the useful checks are whether the preorder qualified, whether any required code was redeemed and whether the correct Microsoft account is being used when the game launches.

| Detail | What is confirmed |
|---|---|
| Requirement | Qualifying preorder during the promotional window |
| Bundle | Twisted Cape plus two hero skins |
| Reward type | Cosmetic pet companion |
| Combat power | No combat bonus is listed |
| Account | Use the account tied to the preorder entitlement |
The Minecraft Dungeons II Twisted Chicken Pet does not need to be found in the Sift, purchased from a merchant or crafted from materials. It comes from the preorder entitlement. If your order qualified, the correct place to troubleshoot is the account and reward claim flow, not a dungeon drop table.
That is especially useful at launch when players will also be collecting talismans and experimenting with companions that can have gameplay effects. A cosmetic pet and a combat-oriented talisman summon are not the same system just because both can place a creature beside your hero.
Twisted Chicken vs Blub
Twisted Chicken belongs to the preorder bundle. Blub belongs to Deluxe. Mojang describes Blub as a companion that cannot fight, and no combat power is listed for the Twisted Chicken either. Both are best treated as visual companions rather than build slots.
If you own both promotions, there is no reason to expect Minecraft Dungeons II Twisted Chicken Pet to stack damage or passive bonuses with Blub. Your build is handled elsewhere through gear and talismans.
The preorder bundle it belongs to
The other items are two hero skins and the Twisted Cape. The cape has an additional Java/Bedrock crossover rule, but that does not automatically extend to every item in the bundle. Mojang specifically calls out the cape when discussing the cross-game reward.
Keeping the bundle boundaries clear prevents a common launch-day mistake: searching normal Minecraft for Minecraft Dungeons II Twisted Chicken Pet when the documented crossover reward is the cape, not the companion.
What to check if the pet is missing
Confirm the order was placed during the valid promotional period and that the store actually marked it as qualifying. Physical copies may require a supplied platform code. Digital buyers should verify they are signing into the same ecosystem and Microsoft account used for the purchase.
If the Twisted Cape and hero skins appear but the pet does not, that is a stronger reason to treat the issue as an incomplete entitlement rather than an account mismatch. Keep your purchase proof so platform or Minecraft support can see exactly which bundle you bought.
Does the pet affect your build?
There is no published combat stat, damage value or passive bonus attached to the preorder chicken. A strong launch build still comes from choosing weapons, armor, artifacts, talismans and enchantments that work together.
That lets Minecraft Dungeons II Twisted Chicken Pet stay what the promotion presents it as: a fun companion and a visible sign that the account qualified for the preorder set, not something players need in order to clear harder encounters.
The claim route is also worth separating from the item itself. Digital preorders are confirmed through the Microsoft account used for the purchase after launch, while physical copies include a platform code that has to be redeemed first. The Minecraft Dungeons II Twisted Chicken Pet then belongs to that preorder entitlement, so buying the Deluxe Edition later is not the same thing as having qualified for the preorder bundle.
