Marvel Rivals September 18 Star Location is on the large crimson steps in Times Square. Today’s Jeff’s Superstar Search clue describes Jeff standing above a cascade of crimson steps and staring toward bright billboards, which points directly to the familiar red staircase in the Times Square social hub.
Marvel Rivals September 18 Star Location is much easier to reach than the September 17 rooftop Star in Hellfire Bay Beach. You do not need a flying hero or a complicated climbing route. The September 18 clue reads: “Atop a cascade of crimson steps, Jeff stares at the blinding billboards, waiting for his Superstar face to light up the city.” The important pieces are the crimson steps and the city billboards. Together they identify Times Square rather than Hellfire Bay Beach.
To reach the Marvel Rivals September 18 Star Location, open the social area for Times Square and look for the broad red staircase. Walk up the steps and move toward the upper part of the staircase. The Star is placed around that landmark, so there is no reason to search rooftops, alleys or the beach hub for today’s collectible.
- Open Jeff’s Superstar Search and check the September 18 clue.
- Travel to the Times Square social hub.
- Find the large red staircase beneath the bright billboards.
- Walk up the crimson steps.
- Collect the hidden Star to add it to your Superstar Search progress.
The route to the Marvel Rivals September 18 Star Location is intentionally straightforward once the clue has been decoded. The description is doing most of the hiding. “Crimson” means the red staircase, while the reference to billboards confirms that the city hub is the correct destination.
Do you need a special hero for the September 18 Star?
No special hero is required for the Marvel Rivals September 18 Star Location. The Times Square steps are accessible on foot, so you can collect the Star with whichever hero you are already using in the social hub. There is no need to swap to a flier just for this objective.
That is different from the first daily search. The September 17 Star location sits on the golden thatch roof above the Hellfire Bay Beach spawn building, where vertical movement is useful. September 18 removes that traversal problem and turns the challenge into recognising the right Times Square landmark.
Why the Crimson Steps clue means Times Square
The clue gives two location signals. First, it refers to a cascade of crimson steps. Second, it places Jeff facing blinding billboards and waiting for his face to light up the city. Those details fit the Times Square setting and its large red staircase far better than anything in Hellfire Bay Beach.
This clue format is how Jeff’s Superstar Search turns familiar social spaces into a scavenger hunt. It describes a landmark rather than placing a waypoint directly on the collectible. For the Marvel Rivals September 18 Star Location, identifying that landmark is the only real puzzle because the actual route up the stairs is simple.
What is the September 18 Star used for?
The Marvel Rivals September 18 Star Location gives one more Star toward Jeff’s Superstar Search progress. NetEase confirms that the event rewards include a Spray, Title and Nameplate, with Stars collected through the event’s changing objectives.
Superstar Search is separate from Jeff’s Dream Eater. The latter is the event tied to the free President Ozzy Venom costume and optional premium rewards. If you are trying to clear both events efficiently, collecting today’s hidden Star is a quick task before returning to normal matches for Dream Eater progress.
The main Jeff’s Superstar Search guide tracks every daily clue as it appears, while the Superstar Search rewards guide covers what the Stars ultimately unlock.
Do you need every Superstar Search Star?
Current live information shows that 10 Stars are required to finish the Superstar target even though the event runs for 22 days. That means the Marvel Rivals September 18 Star Location is useful progress, but missing it does not necessarily end your chance of completing the event.
The event can also provide match based Star Hunting objectives, giving players another way to build progress. A known hidden Star is still attractive because it avoids spending a full match on the alternative requirement. Today’s Times Square solution only takes a short visit once you know where the crimson steps are.
When does the September 18 Star refresh?
Daily Star Search missions refresh as the event continues, so the Marvel Rivals September 18 Star Location should be treated as today’s clue solution rather than a permanent Star spawn. Later days can move the search back to Hellfire Bay Beach or to another landmark in Times Square.
Jeff’s Superstar Search itself runs until October 9, 2026 at 09:00 UTC. The official Marvel Rivals patch notes confirm Times Square and Hellfire Bay Beach as the event’s search areas, along with the Spray, Title and Nameplate reward categories. For today, the answer is simple: the Marvel Rivals September 18 Star Location is on the crimson Times Square steps beneath the billboards.
