March of Giants Giant Tokens unlock additional playable characters during the October Pioneer Playtest. You earn them through in-game challenges or qualifying Twitch creator subscriptions, then spend them on Giants beyond the ones your account already has.
Tokens and Pioneer Points aren’t interchangeable. Pandemos comes from reaching 1,000 Pioneer Points, while tokens are for trying other Giants before the October 18 closing date.
What do March of Giants Giant Tokens unlock?
March of Giants Giant Tokens unlock a Giant of your choice during the Pioneer Playtest. There are 17 playable Giants in the October roster, but you don’t start with all of them available. Four named starter Giants are guaranteed and another four are randomly unlocked for your account.
The rest are available through the Giant Token system. If a character you’ve been interested in isn’t among your starting eight, earning a token is a way to access that character now. You don’t need to wait for it to appear in a random starter selection after joining a match.
How to earn March of Giants Giant Tokens from challenges
Ubisoft confirms that in-game challenges award March of Giants Giant Tokens. The official announcement does not publish a complete, current list of challenge descriptions, their exact objectives or a guaranteed number of tokens per game, so those details need the live client.
Open the game’s challenge and Giant unlock screens to see which tasks apply to your account, then work towards the challenge that awards a token. Unlike the Pioneer Program, the developer hasn’t published a flat rule saying a particular number of PvP wins always gives one Giant Token. Don’t mix those two reward tracks up.

How to get a Giant Token from Twitch
Yes. Ubisoft says subscribing to a qualifying March of Giants creator on Twitch can award one Giant Token. The developer specifically says select creators, not every channel streaming the game. Check that the creator is participating and that your Twitch account is linked to the Ubisoft account you use to play.
This subscription reward is separate from the one-hour Twitch viewing reward. Watching a participating streamer for an hour gives a 20% Pioneer Point boost, not automatically a Giant Token. A qualifying creator subscription is the route described for the additional token.
How to spend a token on a Giant
Use the playable-Giant selection or unlock interface in the current client, find a character you haven’t unlocked and follow the prompt to spend an available Giant Token. The token unlocks that Giant for play during this test. Before committing, inspect the Giant’s class and described abilities so you choose someone who suits how you like to fight.
Some Giants work best close to enemies, while others rely on ranged attacks, healing, soldier coordination or battlefield structures. Because the starter selection includes random characters, the best use of a token depends on the Giants you already have. There’s no universal first purchase that makes sense for every account.
Which Giants do you get without spending tokens?
Every player starts with Victoria, Solace, Kragg and Elaris, plus four more Giants selected at random. That means eight Giants are unlocked at the outset, although different accounts may see different members of the roster in those extra four positions.
Victoria is a melee fighter with a burning spear, Solace supports allies with healing and Soldier conversion, Kragg uses disruptive charges and crowd control, and Elaris is a mobile ranged damage dealer. Try those four first before spending a token simply because a character looks new.

March of Giants Giant Tokens versus Pioneer Points
No. March of Giants Giant Tokens unlock additional playable Giants during the test. Pioneer Points come from finishing normal PvP games: 100 per win or 50 per loss, with a possible 20% booster. Reach 1,000 Pioneer Points to become a Pioneer.
Pioneer status is what permanently unlocks Pandemos from October 12 and grants a Pioneer Medal and Early Access Pack. A Giant Token spent on a different character does not substitute for the 1,000-point Pioneer qualification.
Do March of Giants Giant Tokens carry into Early Access?
No, not as a general rule. Ubisoft’s roadmap says all other Giants unlocked during the Pioneer Playtest, apart from the named Pandemos Pioneer entitlement, won’t carry over to future tests or Early Access. This makes Giant Tokens useful for experimenting with more characters now, not for permanently building a 2027 roster.
Ubisoft hasn’t announced an Early Access currency conversion for unused March of Giants Giant Tokens. If you’re worried about how to spend them, choose Giants you’re interested in actually playing before the October 18 test ends, rather than hoarding them based on an unsupported future exchange rate.
Which Giant should you unlock first?
Check your starting roster before spending March of Giants Giant Tokens. Ubisoft gives everyone Victoria, Solace, Kragg and Elaris, plus four random Giants. Your best first unlock depends on which characters were missing from those eight and whether you prefer frontline fighting, ranged damage or supporting teammates.
The October playtest lets you experiment with unlocked characters, but other Giant purchases don’t carry into Early Access. Use March of Giants Giant Tokens for someone you want to play during this test, rather than saving them for an unannounced currency exchange.
