Keggor the Fermented is the boss that closes out each Brewfest Banquet. You do not summon him manually: the Banquet runs through a six-minute gathering, cooking and serving phase, the score bar locks, and Keggor appears automatically at the end.
The important preparation is therefore the event score rather than a complicated boss build. Your shard earns Brew Points before Keggor arrives, and the final merchandise bag is based on how well the group performed during that timed phase.
When Keggor the Fermented spawns

Keggor the Fermented spawns after the six-minute Brewfest Banquet work phase. Stay with the event group, switch from your Gatherer, Cook or Server task to the boss when he appears, defeat him and wait for the event completion reward.
Get the score before the boss appears
Ingredient deliveries are worth 25 Brew Points, completed meals are worth 50 and correct customer deliveries are worth 25. These actions stop contributing once the preparation timer ends.
For Keggor the Fermented, a high score is effectively earned before the fight starts. If the shard is below a reward threshold, killing the boss cleanly does not retroactively create more Banquet points.
What happens when Keggor spawns
At the end of the six-minute phase, the progression bar stops and the event transitions to the boss. Leave the kitchen or serving loop and join the group attacking Keggor so the event can finish.
Keggor the Fermented is a public-event boss rather than a separate Dungeon Finder encounter, so you remain at the Brewfest grounds where the Banquet has been running.
How difficult is the fight
The Banquet is designed as an open world holiday event, and current guides focus far more on the three work roles and score thresholds than on punishing Keggor mechanics. Stay with the group, avoid obvious danger and keep damage on the boss.
If Keggor the Fermented feels slow, the likely issue is shard participation rather than a hidden solo mechanic. The event expects the surrounding Brewfest crowd to converge on the boss.
Reward bag thresholds
Current event data uses 2,500, 5,000 and 7,500 Brew Point tiers. The 2,500 bag includes basic event rewards and a token chance, the 5,000 tier adds Brewer transmog chances, and 7,500 adds Dark Iron-themed weapon chances.
Defeating Keggor the Fermented is what closes the Banquet and awards the score-based bag, so do not leave when the preparation timer hits zero.
Why to repeat the boss in 2026
Blizzard lists the new red and purple Brewer recolors as Brewfest Banquet rewards. Since the Banquet is hourly, repeating the full cycle gives you more attempts at those cosmetics while also earning event rewards.
Keggor the Fermented is therefore part of the 2026 transmog farm even though the boss itself is only the final step of the larger scenario.
