Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji is now playable as Hired Killer following the V1.84 Halloween update on 23 October 2026. He has arrived in the live roster, but players still need the Early Access gamepass to select him. His awakening remains unfinished.
The important changes since the trailer are the actual unlock method, his three cursed weapons and the six released base skills. Here is how to find Hired Killer, what is available and why you may still see a lock beside his name.
Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji release status
Hired Killer joined the game with V1.84 on Friday 23 October 2026 after the 21 October Halloween trailer reveal. Toji Fushiguro’s in-game name is Hired Killer. The character has 100 HP and uses cursed tools in place of conventional cursed energy. The launch was part of the Halloween patch, not a separate timed release.
How to unlock Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji
Open the official Jujutsu Shenanigans Roblox experience and select Characters from the upper-left corner. Scroll down to the entry named Hired Killer, not Toji. If it is locked, use the Shop button near Characters and inspect the Early Access gamepass. This is the game’s general access pass for unfinished fighters, not a Toji-exclusive pass. Pro Game Guides listed the Early Access pass at 195 Robux on 24 October, but prices can change and vary by region. Check the total shown by Roblox before confirming payment. If you already own the pass, you should not need another purchase.
Is Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji free?
As of 25 October, Hired Killer remains in Early Access and no free release date has been announced. Unlocking Halloween candy skins, buying a broom or redeeming a Cash code will not remove that access restriction. Sky Assassin was eventually made free after its own Early Access period, but that history does not confirm when Toji will follow. Players who prefer a finished fighter can continue with the free roster while the current kit develops.
Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji weapons and moves
Hired Killer uses three weapons: Split Soul Katana, Inverted Spear of Heaven and Chain of a Thousand Miles. Press R for Hidden Inventory to move to the next weapon, or hold F and press R to switch backwards. Each tool has two skills. Split Soul Katana has Flourish and Debilitate, Inverted Spear of Heaven has Transcend and Rupture, and Chain of a Thousand Miles has Lasso and Whiplash. Several have variant inputs, so practise the weapon switch before attempting longer combos.

How does Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji awakening work?
Puppet of Carnage is currently incomplete. Pressing G with the awakening meter filled heals 50 health, but the game does not yet supply a complete awakened attack set for Hired Killer. The Restricted passive lets Toji leave domain boundaries and avoid most sure-hit effects, although exceptions exist. This makes escaping a domain a strong defensive option, particularly if you need space to switch weapons. There is no confirmed date for additional awakening moves.
Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji missing from the menu?
On a fresh server, open Characters in the upper-left and scroll the full roster. Search for Hired Killer; there is no separate selection labelled Toji.
If you cannot find the fighter, leave an older server and rejoin the official Roblox experience. Look for Hired Killer in the dropdown rather than Toji, then confirm the Early Access pass is owned by the Roblox account you’re playing on. If the character is selectable but awakening only restores health, that matches the current build and does not mean the kit failed to load. The game’s Notebook can show patch changes after future updates.
Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji and the Halloween event
The seasonal shop sells skins, emotes and a broom. It does not sell access to Hired Killer, and collecting candy will not unlock the character.
