Job Simulator: Human Relations has officially been announced, taking the popular Job Simulator series out of VR and onto flatscreen PC for a new multiplayer experience. Developed by FarBridge in collaboration with Job Simulator creator Owlchemy Labs, Human Relations is a completely new game rather than a flatscreen conversion of the original Job Simulator.
The game was revealed on August 11, 2026, alongside the launch of a Kickstarter campaign supporting its development.
Perhaps the biggest change is multiplayer. Job Simulator: Human Relations can be played alone or with up to four players, turning the familiar workplace chaos of Job Simulator into a cooperative experience.
Here’s everything confirmed about Job Simulator: Human Relations so far.
What is Job Simulator: Human Relations?
Job Simulator: Human Relations is a new flatscreen co-op game set in the Job Simulator universe.
FarBridge is developing the game in collaboration with Owlchemy Labs, the studio behind the original Job Simulator. Human Relations is officially licensed and retains the series’ deliberately ridiculous interpretation of human employment.
This time, however, players won’t need a VR headset.

Is Job Simulator: Human Relations a new game?
Yes. Job Simulator: Human Relations is a new game, not a flatscreen port of the original Job Simulator.
That’s an important distinction following the announcement.
The original Job Simulator was built specifically around virtual reality and motion controls. Human Relations instead takes the concept and setting of Job Simulator and builds a new experience designed for flatscreen play and standard controls.
It is the first time the Job Simulator series has moved away from its VR-only roots.
Is Job Simulator: Human Relations VR?
No. Job Simulator: Human Relations is not a VR game and does not require a VR headset.
Human Relations is being developed specifically as a flatscreen game for PC. That makes it significantly more accessible than previous Job Simulator releases, which required compatible VR hardware.
Players familiar with Job Simulator shouldn’t therefore expect Human Relations to simply recreate the original game’s VR interactions with a controller.
Instead, FarBridge is designing the game around its new format, including cooperative multiplayer.
Is Job Simulator: Human Relations multiplayer?
Yes. Job Simulator: Human Relations supports multiplayer for up to four players.
Players will be able to work together as they attempt to complete increasingly chaotic office tasks.
The basic gameplay loop involves completing jobs, managing the resulting chaos and reaching objectives. The workplace itself can create additional problems, with everything from unreliable Wi-Fi and limited desk space to much larger disasters getting in the way.
Players may find themselves dealing with paperwork, coffee, printers, packages and meetings while trying to stop their simulated workplace from descending into complete disaster.
Job Simulator: Human Relations can also be played solo, so multiplayer isn’t required.
What is Job Simulator: Human Relations about?
Job Simulator: Human Relations returns to the year 2050, when human employment has become a thing of the past.
The robots responsible for preserving the history of human work have created another exhibit at the Museum of Human Employment. Unfortunately, their understanding of office culture has been pieced together from questionable sources including social media, corporate training material and productivity gurus.
The resulting recreation of human office life isn’t particularly accurate.
That’s very much in keeping with the humour of the original Job Simulator, but Human Relations introduces other human players into the equation.
Instead of dealing with workplace nonsense alone, up to four players can now contribute to the chaos.
What platform is Human Relations coming to?
Job Simulator: Human Relations is currently confirmed for PC.
A Steam page has been created for the game, allowing PC players to wishlist it ahead of release.
No console versions of Job Simulator: Human Relations have been announced at this stage.
That means there is currently no confirmed PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo version. Until FarBridge or Owlchemy Labs announces additional platforms, PC is the only platform that should be considered confirmed.
Does Job Simulator: Human Relations have a release date?
Job Simulator: Human Relations does not currently have a confirmed release date.
Development is being supported through a Kickstarter campaign launched alongside the announcement.
The crowdfunding campaign has a base funding target of $150,000 and is scheduled to run until September 10, 2026.
FarBridge is also using the campaign to involve players during development, with different backing tiers offering benefits including development updates, playtesting opportunities and copies of the game.
A final Job Simulator: Human Relations release date will therefore have to wait for a future announcement.
How is Human Relations different from Job Simulator?
The biggest differences between Job Simulator and Human Relations are the move away from VR and the introduction of multiplayer.
| Feature | Job Simulator | Job Simulator: Human Relations |
|---|---|---|
| VR | Yes | No |
| Flatscreen | No | Yes |
| Multiplayer | No | Up to four players |
| Solo play | Yes | Yes |
| Setting | Simulated human jobs | Simulated office workplace |
| Controls | VR motion controls | Standard flatscreen controls |
| Platform confirmed for Human Relations | N/A | PC |
Human Relations isn’t intended to replace the original Job Simulator. Instead, it expands the same universe with a different style of game.
The change also means people who have wanted to try the Job Simulator series but don’t own a VR headset will finally have an option designed specifically for traditional screens.
Who is making Job Simulator: Human Relations?
Job Simulator: Human Relations is being developed by FarBridge in collaboration with Owlchemy Labs.
The relationship between the studios predates Human Relations. FarBridge previously contributed development work to Owlchemy Labs projects including Cosmonious High and Dimensional Double Shift.
Owlchemy Labs remains the holder of the Job Simulator IP, while Human Relations is an officially licensed entry in the series.
When will we know more about Job Simulator: Human Relations?
With Job Simulator: Human Relations now officially announced and its crowdfunding campaign underway, more information is expected to emerge as development continues.
For now, the important details are confirmed: this is a completely new Job Simulator game, it is being designed for flatscreen PC play rather than VR, it can be played solo or cooperatively with up to four players, and it does not yet have a release date.
For a series that has spent its first decade closely associated with virtual reality, Human Relations represents a significant change, and for the first time, owning a VR headset won’t be a requirement for getting a job.
