With Chapter 4 Season 1 fast approaching the end (yes already), it seems only fitting that now the dust has settled, that we explore the Fortnite Best Weapons for Chapter 4 Season 1.

The introduction of this Chapter brought with it so many changes, not only to the map, but with the ingame items too, with the introduction of the Falcon Scout drone, as well as all new loot chests and of course, the mighty Kamehameha has returned too!

But which weapons are the best of the Season? Let’s take a look as we explore the Fortnite Best Weapons below.

Fortnite Best Weapons – The favorites of Chapter 4 Season 1

Fortnite has seen many weapons come and go over the years, some of which have been firm favorites, whilst others have left players somewhat disgruntled over how over powered they are (we all remember the Mechs).

Chapter 4 Season 1 has not been without it’s problems, especially with the Shockwave Hammer, but now the issues are ironed out, the rest of the Season seems to be ticking by without a glitch.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at our favorites.

Fortnite Best Weapons – Rocket Launcher

Coming in first on our list of the Fortnite Best Weapons, is the one and only Rocket Launcher.

It doesn’t matter how many times they take it out, the Rocket Launcher always returns.

For me personally, i find this weapon a lot of fun and like to cause absolute chaos. But it goes beyond that. With a DPS of 97.5, and a reload time of 2.52 seconds, it may not be the quickest, but it does hit quite the punch to not only players, but structures too, when aimed correctly.

And let’s not forget, you can Rocket Ride! By aiming the rocket under a player, and timing a jump correctly, the player jumping on the rocket can surf the air!

A new feature to Chapter 4 Season 1, is the Shockwave Hammer.

Allowing players to propel themselves without fall damage, as well as smash through buildings and obliterate players, the Shockwave Hammer has been a welcome method of travel, and quick get away. But wow is it strong.

If you come up against a Shockwave Hammer, you really need to be prepared to move away fast or better yet, counter it with your own.

With a mighty DPS of 125, this is not a weapon to take on lightly. To make it even stronger, pair with a rocket launcher. When playing in build mode, use a Rocket Launcher to destroy the structure, and for an easy elimination, hit them with the Shockwave Hammer.

This may be one of those pieces of information that is best kept quiet – it works!

Fortnite Best Weapons – DMR

The DMR is one of the only Snipers within the game at present. Yes there are the bows, but they’re not quite as accurate.

First introduced in Chapter 3 Season 3, the DMR is a fast firing rifle with scope. And when it hits, it hits hard, with a massive 145 DPS. With a 2.12 second reload speed, it isn’t overly fast, but if you can shoot accurately, then you can’t really go wrong.

Fortnite Best Weapons – Assault Rifle

Over the years, we have seen many variants of Assault Rifle, but making it’s return in Chapter 4 Season 1, is the original Assault Rifle that we all know and love.

A loadout staple, the AR has a DPS of 198, and a magazine size of 30, so with a little accuracy involved, you can very quickly eliminate opponents, and it destroys players wood built structures with ease.

It is good for both short and long range combat, but excellent at mid range, and is a weapon that is good to just grab and shoot with whilst planning your next move.

No Fortnite Best Weapons list would be complete without an SMG, and the Chapter 4 Season 1 offering, is the Twin Mag SMG.

The Twin Mag SMG is an incredibly fast firing submachine gun, complete with 2 magazines attached to one another, that increase in speed every other reload.

With a DPS of 260, the quick firing weapon can quickly eliminate players at close range. The magazine size is only 20, and due to its rapid fire rate, missing shots can quickly render it useless and in need of reload.

Fortnite Best Weapons – Ex-Caliber Rifle

Another new weapon added to Chapter 4 Season 1, is the Ex-Caliber Rifle.

The un-scoped marksmen rifle fires blades at enemy players, and after a short delay causes an explosion, giving you 2 hits of damage for one shot.

Available primarily in Oath Bound chests, this weapon is somewhat different to others in games when used tactically. Unlike other weapons, if the Ex-Caliber Rifle is targeting vehicles, the impact will cause damage to players regardless of where it hits on the vehicle.

They did slightly reduce the damage dealt by the Ex-Caliber Rifle in December 2022, but that isn’t enough to stop it ranking as one of the Fortnite Best Weapons in Chapter 4 Season 1.

And there we have it, a run down of some of the best weapons available within Chapter 4 Season 1.
