The Sims 4: Full list of cheat codes for the base game

With The Sims 4 officially being free-to-play, here’s a full list of cheat codes so you can live a life of comfort on your PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox, and PC.
The Sims has always been a form of escape for players since its release in February 2000. After 22 years, the IP continues to bring dreams to reality as their latest installment, The Sims 4, has just been released globally as free-to-play. Add cheats to that, and players can have the time of their life, at least in-game.
From instantly gaining money, career stats, romance, and friendship cheats, here is a full list of cheats to build your dream life in The Sims 4:

How to enable The Sims 4 cheats
It will bring up a white bar on the upper right side of your screen. From here, type testingCheats true and then hit enter. You will see a message that will say, “Warning: Using cheats.” Just choose OK. If successful, you will get the message that says, “Cheats are enabled.” To prevent any issues with the game, make sure to pause it before following any of the instructions. Depending on the platform you are using, there are different ways to enable cheat codes in the game.
- PC – If you are using your computer to play the game, use Ctrl + Shift + C to open the cheat menu. It will bring up a white bar on the upper right side of your screen. Type testingCheats true and then hit enter. If successful, you will get the message that says, “Cheats are enabled”.
- Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S – If you are using an Xbox console to play the game, press and hold  LT + RT + LB + RB for a few seconds until it opens the cheat menu. It will bring up a white bar on the upper right side of your screen. From here, type testingCheats true and then hit enter. You will see a message that will say, “Warning: Using cheats.” Just choose OK. If successful, you will get the message that says, “Cheats are enabled.”
- PlayStation 4 & 5 – If you are using a PlayStation console to play the game, press and hold  L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 for a few seconds until it opens the cheat menu. It will bring up a white bar on the upper right side of your screen. From here, type testingCheats true and then hit enter. You will see a message that will say, “Warning: Using cheats.” Just choose OK. If successful, you will get the message that says, “Cheats are enabled.”
After you start using cheats, you may come across a time when your character would just freeze and be unresponsive, or you might encounter a bug. When this happens, simply turn on the testingCheats true, hold down shift, and click the Sim. On the menu, hit “Reset Object (Debug).” This will put undo the last action of the Sim.

How to use The Sims 4 cheats
Depending on the type of cheat you are using, there are several ways to use a cheat in Sums 4. The most common way of cheating is using keywords in the dialogue box whenever you use Ctrl + Shift + C (or the shoulder buttons on your console controller). You will only need to do the testingCheats true step once. After that, you can type the keywords associated with the cheat to use them.
An exception to this process is Interaction Cheats. These cheats still require you to go through the steps in testingCheats true, but using them involves choosing the Sim and choosing from a variety of options that are unlocked after enabling the cheat system of the game.
- PC – After doing the testingCheats true process, hold the shift key, then choose the Sim/object. This will open the Interactions Cheat menu. From here, you can use an array of cheats that can be used for that Sim/object.
- Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S – After doing the testingCheats true process, hover your cursor on the Sim/object and then hold the B button, then press the A button. This should bring the Interaction Cheats menu.
- PlayStation 4 & 5 – After doing the testingCheats true process, put your pointer to the Sim/object. hold down the circle and then press X to bring up the Interaction Cheats menu. From here, you can use an array of cheats that can be used for that Sim/object.

*Take note that you will need to use The Sims 4 Career cheat code above, then use the official designation below to activate the career for the Sim. Here is an example: careers.promote Astronaut needs to be typed into the dialogue box after doing the testingCheats true process. This will promote the Sim to this career.
