Genshin Impact Leaks: When will Baizhu be released?

Before Sumeru was released, one of the first NPCs (non-player characters) who gave Genshin Impact fans the idea that the Dendro element would finally be available was Baizhu. This character, who is the owner of Bubu Pharmacy, can be seen with his Dendro Vision hanging from his waist.
Because of this, it was even speculated that Baizhu would become the first playable Dendro user in the game. However, this isn’t the case. And with how Genshin Impact‘s story is progressing in Sumeru at the moment, it will presumably still take a couple of versions before we can finally get a hold of this character from Liyue. That is, if he is coming to the game.
Baizhu made some fans when he first appeared during Liyue’s Archon Quest. To think of it, that’s already a long time ago, just like how fans are still waiting for Scaramouche‘s release date. So, if you’re a fan of Baizhu, you might be hearing some good news by the end of this year.
However, note that the information we have gathered is based on leaks and should, therefore, be taken with a grain of salt.
Baizhu release date according to leaks
According to leaker @grandfatherbao on Twitter, Baizhu will be released in version 3.4. He added that the character’s role is to provide healing that scales with his Elemental Mastery.
“I think it’s obvious now, Baizhu will be releasing in 3.4 he will provide regeneration for the party based on EM.”
This was also reposted on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit and was captioned as “sussy” info from @grandfatherbao.
However, it should be noted that based on Genshin Impact‘s usual schedule, version 3.4 should be released in time for the Lantern Rite Festival. Since this is an event based on the Chinese New Year, it will only make sense for the game to make this annual. By that time, the game will most definitely take players back to Liyue, and the chances of Bhaizu getting released are high.
Right now, Genshin Impact‘s story focuses on Sumeru. This is probably why Bhaizu is still not in the scene, even though he is one of the earliest NPCs with the Dendro vision.
