On the other hand, beneath all her antics lies the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, who holds funeral ceremonies with the highest dignity and solemnity. She also has an iconic hat!

5-star Weapons for Hu Tao
Below are our recommended 5-star weapons for Hu Tao:
STAFF OF HOMA
| Level 1-90 Base ATK | 46 – 608 |
| Level 1-90 Bonus Stat | CRIT DMG 14.4% – 66.2% |
| Base Passive Effects | HP increased by 20%. Additionally, provides an ATK Bonus based on 0.8% of the wielder’s Max HP. When the wielder’s HP is less than 50%, this ATK bonus is increased by an additional 1% of Max HP. |
This polearm is the signature weapon of Hu Tao and is specifically designed to fit her play style. As an HP-scaling character, Hu Tao will definitely be able to take advantage of everything that the Staff of Homa has to offer. This weapon’s passive increases her HP, provides an ATK bonus based on her Max HP, and another ATK bonus when her HP is less than 50%. Of course, the Staff of Homa also has a CRIT DMG bonus stat which is essential for Hu Tao to deal massive damage. STAFF OF THE SCARLET SANDS

This polearm works well with Hu Tao if you build her with some Elemental Mastery (EM), as the Staff of the Scarlet Sands converts a percentage of that EM into ATK bonus. However, perhaps the best thing about this polearm in Hu Tao’s case is that it provides a huge chunk of CRIT Rate, allowing you to focus on other stats when building her. PRIMORDIAL JADE WINGED-SPEAR

Its ATK stat-focused passive isn’t really for Hu Tao, but its CRIT Rate can help you deal CRIT more consistently, albeit not as effectively as the Staff of the Scarlet Sands. 4-star Weapons for Hu Tao
If you are considering some 4-star weapons for Hu Tao, below are our recommendations:
DRAGON’S BANE

| Level 1-90 Bonus Stat | Elemental Mastery 48 – 221 |
| Base Passive Effects | Increases DMG against opponents affected by Hydro or Pyro by 20%. |
Hu Tao is typically placed in the same team with one or two Hydro units, so Dragon’s Bane is one, if not the best 4-star option in most cases. This polearm works notably well with Vaporize Teams, as it increases your DMG against opponents affected by Hydro or Pyro. This bonus may not be as consistent if you place Hu Tao in a Burgeon Team, but she can take advantage of the EM bonus stat. This weapon is obtainable for a normal rate from the Wanderlust Invocation banner, Character Event Wishes, and Weapon Event Wishes.
LITHIC SPEAR

| Level 1-90 Bonus Stat | ATK 6% – 27.6% |
| Base Passive Effects | For every character in the party who hails from Liyue, the character who equips this weapon gains 7% ATK increase and a 3% CRIT Rate increase. This effect stacks up to 4 times. |
If you have a team that is composed mostly of characters from Liyue, Lithic Spear is a good option. For example, if you run a team with Hu Tao, Xingqiu, Yelan, and Zhongli, you can make the most of this polearm’s passive effect, especially the stackable CRIT Rate.
DEATHMATCH

WHITE TASSEL

As a character who doesn’t really need a high ATK stat but has to deal damage on-field using Normal/Charged Attacks most of the time, White Tassel is the best 3-star polearm for Hu Tao. Not only does this weapon provide her with a decent CRIT Rate, but it also increases Normal ATK damage by a whopping amount at max refinement. You can obtain a White Tassel randomly by opening chests in Liyue (Exquisite or higher). This also includes chests in The Chasm.
