It is almost time for the next PS Plus games to be announced for August 2022, with Sony expected to give away more PS4 and PS5 games.

Ahead of the official announcement, we thought it would be fun to take a look at what games we would like to see, as well as which games could realistically come to PS Plus next month.

Here are our predictions for PS Plus in August 2022.

The free games that Sony will be giving away in August 2022 to PS Plus subscribers have been revealed. This month, there will be three games on offer, with them all being PS4 games, but two also featuring upgraded PS5 versions for owners of the elusive console.

Sony will be giving away the following games:

  • Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Remastered (PS4/PS5)
  • Yakuza: Like A Dragon (PS4/PS5)
  • Little Nightmares (PS4)

It is worth noting that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is the Cross-Gen Deluxe Bundle, which means that players can upgrade to the PS5 version for free, and it also includes the Deluxe Edition bonus content too.

  • ‘The Ripper’ skater from Powell-Peralta®
  • Unique retro outfits for Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero and Rodney Mullen
  • Unique retro content for the Create-A-Skater mode

When do the PS Plus August 2022 games go live?

The PS Plus games go live on the first Tuesday of the month and remain available for all PS Plus subscribers to download until the first Monday of the following month.

This means that the PS Plus games for August 2022 will go live on Tuesday, August 2nd, and will remain available until Monday, September 5th.

There is still time to claim the current PS Plus games for July 2022, with them being available until August 1st. Here are the three games that can be claimed for free.

PS Plus Premium Extra Games July 2022

For subscribers to the PS Plus Premium and Extra tiers, plenty of new games have been added this month, including Stray which was added to the service as a day one release.
