Fortnite One Wish Willow Sprite: How to Take Enemy Sprites and Use Knockback

Fortnite Obsession Sprite

The Fortnite One Wish Willow Sprite went live with v42.40 on October 15 as part of the Obsession collaboration. Carry it into a fight, eliminate someone with Sprites equipped and Willow can take those Sprites; take damage yourself and it pushes nearby enemies away.

Willow also has a nasty exit penalty. Unequip it and your position is marked on the map, so changing Sprites while another team is nearby can expose you at exactly the wrong moment.

How to get Fortnite One Wish Willow Sprite

Fortnite One Wish Willow Sprite
One Wish Willow arrived in the live Sprite pool with Fortnite v42.40.

Start with Fortnitemares Pumpkin Chests and the other active Sprite loot sources in Battle Royale. One Wish Willow joined that live pool on October 15 rather than spawning as a fixed NPC or boss reward.

The Fortnite One Wish Willow Sprite has no guaranteed map pin. A Pumpkin Chest can give you another Sprite instead, so keep rotating through loot sources rather than camping one location for a guaranteed Willow.

How One Wish Willow takes enemy Sprites

With the Fortnite One Wish Willow Sprite equipped, eliminate a player who is carrying Sprites. Willow can extract the Sprites that opponent had equipped, letting you turn a successful fight into more options for your own loadout.

If the eliminated player had no Sprites equipped, there is nothing for Willow to take. The ability reacts to the enemy’s actual loadout; it does not scan the map for a rare Sprite or create one from nowhere.

How the One Wish Willow knockback works

Take damage while Willow is equipped and nearby opponents are pushed away automatically. There is no manual knockback input to time in the middle of the fight.

Epic has not published the exact radius, cooldown or force. The live description confirms the push when you are damaged, which is enough to break up some close-range pressure and buy room to reposition.

Why removing One Wish Willow marks your location

Removing the Fortnite One Wish Willow Sprite marks your position on the map. Dropping it or replacing it therefore carries a risk that swapping a normal inventory item does not.

Make the swap from cover or after the nearby fight has settled. If another squad is already trying to locate you, Willow’s map mark can turn a harmless loadout change into an immediate chase.

One Wish Willow Sprite variants

One Wish Willow has six collection forms: Base, Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker, Bounty Hunter and Trick or Treat. Each is tracked as its own Sprite entry, so finding the base version does not complete the whole Willow set.

Trick or Treat variants appear more often during the October 17 Power Hour. If that is the Willow form missing from your tracker, the event gives you a better chance to fill the gap.

One Wish Willow vs Honey Sprite

Honey SpriteRanged weapon damage has a chance to spawn bees at the hit locationNo removal mark listed

Willow suits aggressive Sprite hunting: eliminations can add enemy Sprites to your loadout and the knockback gives you room when a fight gets too close. Honey is more straightforward, adding a chance for bees whenever your ranged shots deal damage.

Best way to use Fortnite One Wish Willow Sprite

Keep the Fortnite One Wish Willow Sprite equipped when you are hunting players who may be carrying useful Sprites. The elimination effect can improve your loadout, while the automatic pushback gives you a little breathing room if the fight turns against you.

Plan the moment you remove it. Move somewhere defensible first, then make the Sprite swap so the map reveal is less likely to hand another player an easy route straight to you.
