The Fortnite Nami Tangerine is a new healing consumable in Treasure Hunters. Epic confirms that it restores both health and shields and gives a movement-speed boost while travelling through water. It is a gameplay item, not a bonus that comes from wearing Nami’s One Piece outfit.
You’ll see the item listed in Battle Royale, Reload and Blitz. It has a different purpose from Meat on a Stick, another new consumable that provides an immediate heal followed by more healing for a short time. Here’s how to use them and where Epic has actually named an item source.
What does the Fortnite Nami Tangerine do?
When consumed, Nami’s Tangerine restores health and shields and grants a water movement-speed effect. That’s a useful combination if you’re hurt near a river, lagoon or another area where you plan to move through the water. That extra speed is useful when you need to cross open water after a fight.
The Fortnite Nami Tangerine is not described as a universal sprint-speed boost on dry land. Epic’s public v43.00 notes also do not list the exact amount healed, number of shields restored, boost percentage or duration. The amount and duration need to be checked in-game before quoting a percentage.

Where to find the Fortnite Nami Tangerine
The item appears in the main Treasure Hunters Battle Royale lineup on Crossbones Isle. Epic does not name one guaranteed spawn location, and it has not said that a specific One Piece POI always contains Tangerines. Pick it up from match loot as you go, rather than travelling to a rumoured guaranteed chest.
Reload also lists the Fortnite Nami Tangerine among its new v43.00 items. Reload uses different maps and loot pools, so a location shown in that mode isn’t automatically a Battle Royale spawn.
Where to find Nami’s Tangerine in Blitz Royale
Blitz has more specific official loot information. Epic says a Battle Bus Loadout can include Nami’s Tangerine or Meat on a Stick, and it lists both items in Gold Chests and Gold Supply Drops. These are published Blitz item sources, not guaranteed spawn locations on Crossbones Isle.
If you are looking for the Fortnite Nami Tangerine in Blitz, those categories are more useful than a rumoured named POI. The notes do not publish an exact chest drop percentage, and a loadout offering a Tangerine or Meat on a Stick does not guarantee you will receive your preferred one every match.
When should you use the Fortnite Nami Tangerine?
If you’ve taken damage and need to rotate through water, the item can help with two problems at once. Find a safe place to consume it, restore your health and shields, then use the water-speed effect as you move. Try to use it from cover, then take advantage of the water speed while it lasts.
You don’t have to be wearing Nami’s Outfit to use the Fortnite Nami Tangerine. The skin is a cosmetic purchase; the consumable is part of the match’s loot. You don’t need to buy the character to find the item during a match.
What does Meat on a Stick do in Fortnite?

Meat on a Stick works differently. Epic’s Battle Royale notes say eating one restores health immediately and continues healing you for a short time afterwards. The description is a heal-over-time effect, not the water movement-speed bonus provided by the Tangerine.
Epic hasn’t given the size or duration of Meat on a Stick’s healing effect in its published notes. Those details need to be checked in a current match. It would also be misleading to claim that Meat on a Stick always restores shields, because that is not what Epic’s item description confirms.
Nami Tangerine versus Meat on a Stick: which should you carry?
The Fortnite Nami Tangerine is the clearer choice when you need both health and shields or expect to travel through water. Meat on a Stick is attractive when you want an immediate health restore followed by additional healing over a short period. Which is better depends on whether you need shields and movement or continued health restoration.
In Blitz, both consumables can appear in the published item pools, so it makes sense to decide based on your health, shields and next route. In Battle Royale, check the actual item you’re holding. Don’t assume that all healing consumables share the same quantities or stacking rules.
Does the Nami Tangerine count for the 16 Tangerines quest?
The Nami Tangerines quest guide is about the separate objective to collect 16 Tangerines. That’s a quest walkthrough, not the same as explaining this consumable’s healing and water-speed effects. If you’re trying to complete the quest, follow the quest’s actual collection requirements rather than assuming any use of the item automatically counts.
For a complete look at consumables, fish and returning weapons, see our Treasure Hunters loot pool guide. The Fortnite Nami Tangerine is a confirmed health-and-shield option with a water-speed boost; Meat on a Stick gives immediate health and short follow-up healing. Epic has not released exact numeric values for either item.
