Fortnite Nami Tangerines are the specific One Piece consumables you need to collect for an Episode 2 quest in Treasure Hunters. The objective asks for 16 of Nami’s Tangerines and awards 10,000 XP when the in-game tracker reaches the target.

The name is confusing because Fortnite also sells a cosmetic Back Bling called Nami’s Tangerines. That shop item is not the quest pickup. Here is how the collection objective works, where it is sensible to search and which location claims have actually been verified.

Fortnite Nami Tangerines: how to complete the 16-item quest

Select the One Piece Episode 2 objective labelled ‘Collect Nami’s Tangerines to help Sanji protect them’ in the Quests tab. The Fortnite Nami Tangerines challenge asks you to collect 16 of the named consumable, not 16 ordinary pieces of food or 16 Battle Royale healing pickups.

Look for the exact item name when collecting loot. Launch-day gameplay guides describe equipping or picking up Nami’s Tangerines across matches, with a cumulative counter. After collecting one, open the Quest tab and check whether your total went up. That is more reliable than assuming any orange-coloured object counts.

Where to find Nami’s Tangerines in Fortnite

Nami’s Tangerines are a collectable consumable on Crossbones Isle. The published quest lists confirm the collection target, but Epic’s broad launch announcement does not specify guaranteed tangerine spawn points or give a marked location map.

Search the loot around the buildings and routes you already use in Battle Royale, and inspect any unfamiliar One Piece items rather than blindly opening the same chest on every landing. Move to other loot-rich areas after clearing your first spot. A fixed orchard, guaranteed vendor or special Nami NPC purchase method has not been verified in the available official material.

The Fortnite Nami Tangerines quest is a collection challenge, so you can work on it during normal games without sacrificing a good loadout. Keep a record of the quest counter after each pickup. If the counter is not changing, check the item name and game mode before continuing a fruit hunt.

Does the challenge require eating the Tangerines?

The reported objective wording says collect 16 Tangerines. Some launch-day descriptions say ‘find and equip’ rather than ‘consume’. They do not establish that eating 16 is required. Start by picking up or equipping the item and observe whether the tracker moves.

There is no reason to spend the fruit just to test a guessed requirement if you can see the counter increase on collection. Follow the instructions in the active quest UI rather than a tutorial that assumes all food must be eaten.

Nami’s Tangerines quest item versus the Item Shop Back Bling

Fortnite’s official Item Shop also lists Nami’s Tangerines as a Back Bling. That cosmetic sits in a different category from the quest consumable, and its Item Shop price is not a fee for completing this free quest. Buying or equipping the Back Bling should not be presented as a way to raise a collection counter.

The Fortnite Nami Tangerines objective is about finding items during a match. If you search the Locker and see Tangerines as an accessory, you are looking at the cosmetic item rather than the Battle Royale pickup. Keep the two separate to avoid paying V-Bucks for something the challenge never asked you to buy.

Can the 16 Tangerines be collected across matches?

Launch-day guides describe collecting Nami’s Tangerines across different Battle Royale matches. You do not need to assume all 16 must appear in one small area or be found before the first storm moves. The running quest counter is the best indicator of what has actually been credited to your account.

If the Fortnite Nami Tangerines quest does not show progress, make sure the One Piece Episode quest is active in your playlist. A character-themed cosmetic, another player’s item on the ground or a similar-looking healing consumable may not satisfy the specific name requirement.

What reward do you get for collecting 16?

Completing the objective awards 10,000 XP and one completed quest towards the One Piece free spray track. The sprays unlock after one quest for Luffy and Zoro, three for Nami and Usopp, five for Sanji and Chopper, and seven for Buggy. The free spray rewards are separate from Nami’s Outfit and the Tangerines Back Bling.

While searching for Fortnite Nami Tangerines, you can also explore previously undiscovered named locations or interact with Straw Hat NPCs. Those are separate Episode 2 objectives, so combining them is a better use of a match than repeatedly checking an unverified ‘guaranteed’ spawn.
