Fortnite Crew December 5 changes bring a bigger V-Bucks allowance, new XP bonuses and the last regular Crew Pack Outfit. From Saturday, 5 December 2026, active subscribers receive at least 1,000 V-Bucks per month, with higher amounts for players who maintain consecutive membership.
Epic announced the overhaul on 4 November, but the subscription itself isn’t ending. The US price remains $11.99 monthly, the main passes stay included and existing members don’t need to register again. Here’s what changes and what you actually need to do.
Fortnite Crew December 5 changes: what’s new?
The current 800-V-Buck monthly allowance increases to between 1,000 and 1,600 V-Bucks. Subscribers earn 20% extra Fortnite XP, while friends without Crew earn 10% extra XP when playing in a Crew member’s squad. December is also the last month a Crew Pack Outfit will be released.
The Fortnite Crew December 5 changes still include the Battle Pass, Music Pass, LEGO Pass and Rocket Pass Premium. Epic also says existing Crew outfits won’t be removed from players’ lockers.
How the Fortnite Crew December 5 changes affect V-Bucks
Your V-Bucks amount depends on consecutive subscribed months. Core gives 1,000 V-Bucks during months one and two; Bronze gives 1,200 during months three to five; Silver gives 1,400 from six to eleven months; Gold gives 1,600 after twelve or more months. These are not separate subscriptions with different prices.
Existing active subscribers keep qualifying consecutive membership history. Epic’s example is a member subscribed since 15 June who stays active: at their 15 December billing date, they reach seven months and the Silver amount of 1,400 V-Bucks. Their usual billing date matters; don’t expect a second payment simply because 5 December arrives.
The new XP and squad bonuses
Crew subscribers get 20% extra Fortnite XP. A non-subscriber playing with at least one Crew member gets 10% extra XP. Two or three subscribers in one party don’t increase that bonus: Epic explicitly says boosts from multiple Crew members do not stack.
As an arithmetic example, an eligible 1,000 XP award becomes 1,200 for a subscriber and 1,100 for an eligible non-member squadmate. That’s an illustration of the percentage, not a confirmed match reward. The Fortnite Crew December 5 changes don’t promise any bonus to V-Bucks, event currencies or tournament rewards.
Does Fortnite Crew stop giving monthly Outfits?

Yes, December 2026 is the final Crew Pack Outfit release. Crew itself doesn’t end, and the subscription’s other benefits continue. Epic says owners of past Crew Pack Outfits, Pickaxes and Back Blings will be granted any outstanding Legacy Styles in December, even if they are no longer subscribed.
The final outfit hasn’t been revealed in Epic’s announcement. For the Fortnite Crew December 5 changes, all we can say for certain is that December’s Crew Pack Outfit will be the last regular monthly one.
Which passes are included after December?
The Battle Pass, Music Pass, LEGO Pass and Rocket Pass Premium remain part of Crew. A new Music Mini-Pass is due on 12 November and a LEGO Mini-Pass on 5 December. Fortnite OG’s current Chapter 1 OG Pass ends on 5 December, with the next OG era planned for late 2027.
That OG Pass ending should not be mistaken for the removal of all passes. The Fortnite Crew December 5 changes keep the four main pass benefits Epic lists, even as individual seasons and reward tracks rotate.

What happens if you cancelled Crew?
Active members don’t need to resubscribe. If you cancelled earlier in 2026, Epic offers a return window from 6 December to 31 December at 11:59 PM Eastern. Returning in that period allows the most recent uninterrupted subscription spell in the previous twelve months to determine your starting V-Bucks tier.
After the deadline, returning members start at Core with 1,000 V-Bucks. The December 31 Eastern cutoff is 4:59 AM GMT on 1 January 2027 in the UK. The Fortnite Crew December 5 changes don’t mean old, separate subscription periods can simply be added together.
When do the Fortnite Crew December 5 changes go live?
Epic has confirmed 5 December 2026, without giving an exact hour for every benefit. Check the new Crew tab for your tier after launch and look at your billing date for the next monthly V-Bucks payment. No automatic cancellation or new sign-up is required.
For most members, there’s nothing to do before launch. Keep an eye on the new Crew tab on 5 December to see your tier, and use your normal billing date to check when the next V-Bucks grant is due.
