Diablo 4 Warlock Best Weapons are different for Blazing Scream, Dread Claws, Hell Fracture and Ultimate builds. Each major Warlock weapon gives a bonus to a particular attack or resource mechanic, so a highly rolled Unique can actually weaken you if the effect belongs to another build. It’s worth knowing what each one does before investing your farming time and upgrade materials.
Season 15 has eight class-specific Warlock Unique weapons, and several can be farmed from the same boss. There’s also an important distinction between one-handed and two-handed weapons, because a one-handed choice can still pair with a useful off-hand. Here’s the complete comparison, including the two weapons missing from older lists, their current effects and which boss to target.
Diablo 4 Warlock Best Weapons: all eight class-specific Uniques

Use this Diablo 4 Warlock Best Weapons table to choose a target based on the skill you actually cast. These are Warlock-specific weapons, not every general Unique or Mythic item a Warlock can equip. The boss column identifies the targeted Season 15 loot pool, not a guaranteed drop from every kill.
| Weapon | Type | Build it supports | Target boss |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elegy | One-handed sword | Blazing Scream and Skull Splitter | Lord Zir |
| Dirge of Odium | Two-handed axe | Basic attacks and Wrath to Dominance | Lord Zir |
| Anathema of the Primes | Two-handed sword | Core skills and Archfiend Demonform variants | Andariel |
| Litany of Sable | Dagger | Dread Claws and Shadowform | Astaroth |
| Scepter of the Three | Two-handed mace | Ultimates, especially Apocalypse | Andariel |
| Spine of Tathamet | One-handed mace | Hell Fracture | Harbinger of Hatred |
| The Blade of Sight Aflame | One-handed sword | Bombardment and Lesser Demons | Urivar |
| Scourge of Duriel | Flail | Umbral Chains and Epicenter | Duriel |
Diablo 4 Warlock Best Weapons: Elegy for Blazing Scream
Elegy is the first weapon to check if your main attack is Blazing Scream. In patch 3.2.1 it makes the attack an Archfiend skill, increases its damage by 30% to 50% and grants Skull Splitter for free. The smaller skulls deal the same damage as the original, which is why this one-handed sword is so important for geared Blazing Scream builds.
Farm Lord Zir for Elegy. It can pair with a Focus such as Infernal Homunculus, so you’re not forced to give up the off-hand slot. If you’re following our Blazing Scream endgame build, check this weapon before spending time farming Uniques designed for unrelated skills.
Diablo 4 Warlock Best Weapons: Dirge of Odium for Basic attacks
Dirge of Odium is a two-handed axe that increases Basic-skill damage by 0.40% to 0.50% per Wrath held. The drawback is significant: your character loses 10% Wrath per second. Generating 50 Wrath beyond your maximum also grants a point of Dominance, which can help feed demon abilities.
This is one of the Diablo 4 Warlock Best Weapons to consider only when you deliberately invest in a large Wrath pool and strong regeneration. A Core-heavy build already struggling with resource costs may be worse off with that constant drain. Dirge also comes from Lord Zir, making him a useful boss to farm for two very different weapon builds.
Anathema of the Primes for Core and Demonform
Anathema of the Primes makes enemies struck by Core skills take 15% to 20% more damage per contributing skill, up to a 45% to 60% bonus. It also classifies compatible Archfiend Demonform variants as Core skills that cost Wrath. That can be excellent in a rotation where several attacks actually trigger the weapon’s bonus.
Target Andariel for this two-handed sword. For the Diablo 4 Warlock Best Weapons, compare it with Elegy based on your current attack rather than simply the weapon’s item power. Anathema doesn’t provide Skull Splitter, and equipping it removes the main-hand and off-hand combination you may have been using.
Diablo 4 Warlock Best Weapons: Litany of Sable for Dread Claws
Litany of Sable is the dagger for a Shadowform-based Dread Claws Warlock. It gives the skill 100% to 120% increased damage and fires additional claws when you gain Shadowform stacks. The bonus rewards exactly what a Mastermind Warlock build already wants to do: gain Shadowform and keep its attacks flowing.
The current Season 15 target is Astaroth. Some earlier boss tables listed other sources, so check the season of any older farming guide. If you aren’t playing Dread Claws, Litany’s impressive percentage won’t help your Blazing Scream or Apocalypse rotation.

Scepter of the Three for Ultimate skills
Scepter of the Three allows you to equip all base Ultimates and grants 15 ranks to them. Hitting enemies with non-Ultimate skills builds a stored Ultimate damage bonus. Current Season 15 values give 0.9% to 1.3% per hit, up to a cap of 85% to 125%, and that stored bonus resets when your Ultimates finish.
This two-handed mace comes from Andariel. In the Diablo 4 Warlock Best Weapons comparison, it makes sense for an Ultimate-centred build such as Apocalypse, where other spells already set up a large damage window. Equipping every Ultimate still requires room on your skill bar and a rotation that can take advantage of them.
Diablo 4 Warlock Best Weapons: Spine of Tathamet for Hell Fracture
Spine of Tathamet is a one-handed mace that increases Hell Fracture damage by 100% to 120% and causes every third cast to create a triple fracture. It’s especially useful when you can keep enemies inside the area for repeated casts. That powerful effect is tied to Hell Fracture, not all Core skills.
Its targeted boss is Harbinger of Hatred. This is one of the Diablo 4 Warlock Best Weapons that should be easy to rule in or out: if Hell Fracture is your main attack, it deserves attention; if you never cast Hell Fracture, use a weapon for the ability doing most of your damage instead.
The Blade of Sight Aflame for Bombardment
The Blade of Sight Aflame boosts Bombardment damage by 100% to 120%. Its other effect detonates a Lesser Demon struck by Bombardment when that demon has less than three seconds of duration remaining, dealing 400% to 600% of a Bombardment impact. The explosion’s damage range was buffed in patch 3.2.1.
Farm Urivar for this one-handed sword. For the Diablo 4 Warlock Best Weapons, it’s the specialist option if your build deliberately combines Bombardment with the end of a Lesser Demon’s lifespan. Hitting a newly summoned demon with a long duration remaining won’t meet that condition.
Diablo 4 Warlock Best Weapons: Scourge of Duriel for Umbral Chains
Scourge of Duriel is a Flail that gives Umbral Chains its Epicenter variant for free and increases the skill’s damage by 60% to 80%. That’s a useful combination for a build dealing direct damage through Umbral Chains rather than using the chains only to prepare another spell.
As its name suggests, Duriel is the target. Among the Diablo 4 Warlock Best Weapons, this should be a planned Umbral Chains choice, not an item to fit onto a character whose entire damage engine is Blazing Scream or Dread Claws.
Diablo 4 Warlock Best Weapons: boss farming and weapon slots
The best farming approach is to choose your main attack first, then repeatedly run its weapon’s targeted boss. Lord Zir drops Elegy and Dirge of Odium in his Warlock loot pool; Andariel is the target for Anathema and Scepter. Astaroth, Harbinger, Urivar and Duriel cover the other four. A targeted loot pool improves your chances but doesn’t guarantee a particular Unique from a single kill.
| Boss | Target weapons | Best reason to farm |
|---|---|---|
| Lord Zir | Elegy, Dirge of Odium | Blazing Scream or Basic-skill builds |
| Andariel | Anathema of the Primes, Scepter of the Three | Core and Demonform or Ultimate builds |
| Astaroth | Litany of Sable | Dread Claws and Shadowform |
| Harbinger of Hatred | Spine of Tathamet | Hell Fracture |
| Urivar | The Blade of Sight Aflame | Bombardment and Lesser Demons |
| Duriel | Scourge of Duriel | Umbral Chains |
There is another important distinction when comparing Diablo 4 Warlock Best Weapons. A one-handed Unique may let you equip an off-hand that provides a second crucial bonus, while a two-handed weapon uses the whole weapon setup. Elegy with Infernal Homunculus is a different package from Anathema by itself, even if the two-handed sword has a larger damage number on its tooltip.
Don’t discard good Legendary equipment just because you found a Unique. If the special effect doesn’t apply to your actual attacks, a Legendary with the right Aspect, resource support and defensive stats can perform better. When a matching Unique finally drops, compare the whole setup before spending your best materials on it.
Which Warlock weapon should you aim for first?
If you’re already using the Season 15 Blazing Scream setup, go for Elegy. For Mastermind Dread Claws, focus on Litany of Sable. For Ritualist Apocalypse, investigate Scepter of the Three alongside the Sigil gear that powers the Ultimate. The remaining weapons are valuable for their named attacks and should be farmed when those attacks are central to your build.
The Diablo 4 Warlock Best Weapons aren’t a single ranking where one item wins every fight. You’ll get a better result by matching the weapon to your skill variant, Soul Shard and available off-hand, then checking the Season 15 boss source before spending your Lair Keys.
