Does Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox Play Anywhere include the PC version?
Microsoft’s Xbox Play Anywhere programme gives an eligible digital owner access to supported Xbox and Windows PC versions without a second purchase. The badge has been confirmed in reports from Pure Xbox and Windows Central. However, initial hands-on checks found the Windows installation option was not working consistently.
Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox Play Anywhere applies to qualifying Xbox Store or Microsoft Store ownership. It doesn’t transfer a Steam, GOG or Epic Games Store licence into the Microsoft ecosystem. Buying the game through one of those separate PC storefronts is not the same as owning the eligible Xbox digital edition.
How to install Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox Play Anywhere on Windows PC
Open the Xbox app on Windows 10 or 11, sign in with the Microsoft account that owns the game, and select My Library. Microsoft’s guidance says eligible Play Anywhere titles should appear there. Choose Cyberpunk 2077 and look for the local installation action; on console, ready-to-install owned games appear under My Games & Apps.
If only cloud streaming appears, double-check the account and the digital entitlement. The same cloud-only problem was reported on October 22, so it isn’t proof you need to buy the game again. Check the Xbox app and Store for available updates, then revisit your library.
Do saves and achievements work across devices?
Microsoft says Play Anywhere games share saves and a single achievement set through the owning Xbox account. Eligible add-ons also carry across supported devices. For Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox Play Anywhere, sign in with the owning Microsoft account on both devices and allow cloud-save syncing to finish before opening your playthrough elsewhere.

Does Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox Play Anywhere work with a disc?
Xbox’s official Play Anywhere FAQ says its standard entitlement is digital-only. Qualifying purchases come from Xbox Store, Windows Store or digital codes from participating retailers. A physical disc by itself should not be treated as proof of a free Windows licence.
The separate Xbox Disc to Digital programme may have its own eligible titles, but no confirmed Cyberpunk-specific disc conversion is established here. Don’t buy a physical copy on the expectation that it automatically provides a PC licence.
What about Phantom Liberty and Ultimate Edition?
The base game and Ultimate Edition are different purchases.
