Crimson Desert Honorary Greymanes are special companions recruited from visitors during camp festivals in the Charting the Unknown DLC. Build enough Trust with an NPC, run a festival at Greymane Camp and speak with guests who arrive. Some visitors can be hired as Honorary Greymanes and assigned to dispatch missions, expanding the pool of people available to help your settlement.
Festivals only last a limited time, so make the most of the visitors who arrive. Talking with them builds Trust faster, and some guests offer a path to recruitment. Ordinary camp work continues to use the same dispatch system once you’ve added an honorary recruit.
How to unlock Crimson Desert Honorary Greymanes
To recruit Crimson Desert Honorary Greymanes, install the Charting the Unknown DLC and progress the Greymane Camp questline at Howling Hill. Update 2.04.00 adds a mission that lets you hold festivals at camp. Follow that festival mission through the Journal to organise the event at your settlement.
Visitors need to have reached a certain level of Trust with you to attend. This means talking with NPCs in Pywel and building relationships matters before starting the festival. The Greymane Camp upgrades guide explains the faction and camp progression you need to get started.

How to hold a camp festival
The festival mission introduces the new event at Greymane Camp. Once the celebration is underway, NPCs you have built enough Trust with can visit. Talk to them while they are there to raise Trust more quickly than through ordinary interactions outside the festival.
Once the festival begins, talk to the visitors you’ve invited through your existing relationships. A visit isn’t permanent residence at camp. The opportunity is to build Trust and, with eligible characters, recruit them during the event.
How to hire Crimson Desert Honorary Greymanes
Speak with visitors during the festival. Some of them can be hired as Crimson Desert Honorary Greymanes, while others simply take part in the celebrations. When a visitor offers the hiring interaction, recruit them and check your camp’s dispatch list for suitable jobs.
Once a visitor joins, they can be sent on dispatch missions like other Greymane comrades. Check the camp’s dispatch list to see which assignments can use the new recruit. This is particularly helpful if ordinary companions are already busy gathering supplies or working on construction projects.

Can honorary comrades do every dispatch job?
Crimson Desert Honorary Greymanes can go on dispatch missions like regular comrades, though some of the standard comrade features aren’t available to them. Check the missions open to each recruit and use your regular Greymanes for assignments an honorary member can’t take.
The dispatch missions guide covers the standard assignment system. The DLC also adds ship construction dispatches, while other camp work includes expanding facilities and collecting resources. Match a recruit to the missions they are actually permitted to take.
Is festival Trust the same as marriage Trust?
No. Crimson Desert Honorary Greymanes are connected to festival visits and ordinary NPC relationships. The marriage system uses Interact > Flirt and an additional Trust level that reaches 100 before proposal. The two features both involve characters in Pywel, but they offer different outcomes.
For romance, see our marriage and Trust guide. If you simply want extra hands at camp, concentrate on festival invitations and the hiring opportunity, then assign the recruited comrades to your available missions.
Why Honorary Greymanes aren’t showing up
If you can’t find Crimson Desert Honorary Greymanes, make sure you have started the festival mission and that the NPCs you want to meet already trust you sufficiently. A missing visitor may simply not meet the festival’s relationship requirement yet. Continue ordinary conversations and return to the next event.
An attendee won’t necessarily offer recruitment. Focus on eligible visitors during the festival, use the hiring option when available and send successful recruits to work through the camp dispatch menu. For the wider DLC changes, see our Charting the Unknown overview.
