ACE COMBAT 8 Trophies Achievements includes all 56 PS5 trophies and the 55 achievements available on Xbox and Steam. PlayStation players have one Platinum, two Gold, five Silver and 48 Bronze trophies to earn. There are no online requirements.
The campaign supplies most of the easy unlocks, but the Platinum also demands all Ace-difficulty S ranks, every Assault Record and 25 million lifetime MRP. Here is the complete trophy list, including the 31 story trophies missing from the previous guide, followed by the fastest sensible order for tackling the harder challenges.
ACE COMBAT 8 Trophies Achievements: Complete Trophy Count

ACE COMBAT 8 Trophies Achievements: Platinum, Ace Difficulty and Medals
| Trophy / Achievement | Grade | Unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Wings of Theve | Platinum | Earn every other PS5 trophy. |
| Trophy / Achievement | Grade | Unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Ace of Aces | Gold | S rank every campaign mission on Ace difficulty. |
| The Ace | Silver | Complete the campaign on Ace difficulty. |
| Meritorious Service | Silver | Earn 10 Campaign Medals. |
| By the Book | Bronze | Complete all required takeoffs and aerial refuellings during a campaign clear. |
Ace of Aces is the hardest unlock. First finish the campaign on Elite, then complete it on Ace for The Ace. Get an S rank on every mission on Ace difficulty; you can retry individual stages in Free Mission. The S rank walkthrough covers all 30 missions.
Meritorious Service needs 10 of the 29 medals, not all 29. Check the campaign medal guide to find attainable ones. By the Book requires successfully completing takeoff and aerial-refuelling sequences. Avoid skipping them on your Elite run, including any landing sections, so another full playthrough isn’t needed for this trophy.
ACE COMBAT 8 Trophies Achievements: Assault Records and Combat
| Trophy / Achievement | Grade | Unlock |
|---|---|---|
| A Record of Rivalry | Gold | Complete every Campaign Assault Record. |
| Aircraft Annihilator | Bronze | Destroy 3,000 campaign aircraft. |
| Air-to-Air Ace | Bronze | Destroy 100 enemies with air-to-air special weapons. |
| Anti-Ground Ace | Bronze | Destroy 100 enemies with anti-ground special weapons. |
| Like the Wind | Bronze | Complete a post-stall manoeuvre in Campaign. |
A Record of Rivalry needs all 83 Assault Records, including 31 conditional named Aces. These Aces only appear on Veteran difficulty or higher. Trigger the target, destroy it, then finish the mission to save the record. Our Assault Records guide covers their requirements.
Aircraft Annihilator tracks 3,000 aircraft kills in Campaign. Air-to-Air Ace and Anti-Ground Ace require 100 kills each with the corresponding special-weapon category. Like the Wind needs a successful post-stall manoeuvre in Campaign using a capable aircraft such as the F-22A or Su-47; an ordinary high-G turn or Free Flight stunt won’t count.
ACE COMBAT 8 Trophies Achievements: MRP and Aircraft Tree Trophies
| Trophy / Achievement | Grade | Unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Need A Bigger Bank | Bronze | Earn 16,000,000 lifetime campaign MRP. |
| MRP Aplenty | Silver | Earn 25,000,000 lifetime campaign MRP. |
| Bolstered Forces | Bronze | Own five different Campaign aircraft types. |
| Fully Kitted Out | Bronze | Own 20 different Campaign aircraft types. |
| Budding Buyer | Bronze | Acquire 15 special weapons and upgrades combined. |
| Regular Customer | Bronze | Acquire 100 special weapons and upgrades combined. |
| Patron of the Parts | Silver | Acquire every aircraft, special weapon and upgrade part in Campaign. |
Need A Bigger Bank and MRP Aplenty track lifetime campaign earnings of 16 million and 25 million MRP. Spending the currency doesn’t reset them. Patron of the Parts, however, requires buying every aircraft, special weapon and upgrade part in the Campaign Tree. The aircraft and item milestone trophies will unlock along that route.
Mission 28, “A Thousand Points of Light,” has plenty of targets and rearming access at Cima Island. Replay it for money while advancing kill counters. Our MRP farming guide and Aircraft Tree guide cover the grind. Online currency is separate and doesn’t count toward these ACE COMBAT 8 Trophies Achievements targets.
ACE COMBAT 8 Trophies Achievements: Wingman Commands
| Trophy / Achievement | Grade | Unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Yes, Sir! | Bronze | Wingman kills after Forward Atk, Dispersed Atk and Cover orders. |
| All Weapons Free | Bronze | Authorise special weapons and get a wingman kill using one. |
| Birds of a Feather | Bronze | Purchase the same aircraft for all three wingmen. |
Yes, Sir! needs a wingman kill after you’ve issued Forward Atk, Dispersed Atk and Cover. Merely selecting the commands isn’t enough. For All Weapons Free, authorise special weapons and let a wingman score a special-weapon kill. Birds of a Feather requires buying the same aircraft for your three wingmen; see the wingman commands guide.
ACE COMBAT 8 Trophies Achievements: Viewer and Training Unlocks
| Trophy / Achievement | Grade | Unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Aircraft Inspection | Bronze | Preview a plane in the Campaign Aircraft Viewer. |
| Birdwatching | Bronze | Watch a mission replay in Replay Viewer. |
| Plane Coordinator | Bronze | Change a Campaign aircraft skin or emblem. |
| Welcome to Boot Camp | Bronze | Finish a Training mission. |
Aircraft Inspection needs an actual preview action in the Campaign Aircraft Viewer. For Birdwatching, watch a recorded sortie in Replay Viewer. For Plane Coordinator, apply a skin or emblem in Campaign, and for Welcome to Boot Camp, clear one Training mission. These are quick clean-up objectives on the ACE COMBAT 8 Trophies Achievements list.
ACE COMBAT 8 Trophies Achievements: Platinum Roadmap
First campaign: Play on Elite to unlock Ace. Complete every required takeoff and refuelling, and finish the story trophies. Use MRP to build useful aircraft and parts rather than buying blindly.
Named Aces: Replay the appropriate missions on Veteran or higher for the remaining Assault Records. Complete each mission after the kill. You’ll also build MRP and aircraft-kill totals.
Ace campaign: Finish the story on Ace, then replay any mission below S rank in Free Mission. The difficulty guide explains the unlock, and the complete aircraft list helps with loadouts. Mission 14 still uses the unarmed Intruder in Free Mission.
Final cleanup: Reach 25 million lifetime MRP, buy the remaining Campaign Tree items and finish any wingman, Training or special-weapon kills. Completing every entry in ACE COMBAT 8 Trophies Achievements also unlocks the Platinum on PS5.
ACE COMBAT 8 Trophies Achievements Not Unlocking: Things to Check
For missing Assault Records, make sure the named Ace was defeated on a qualifying difficulty and the mission was finished. For Aircraft Inspection, use Preview inside the viewer rather than simply opening its menu. Wingman commands must result in an actual wingman kill. Some players have reported inconsistent tracking for Yes, Sir!, but an officially confirmed fix has not been established.
For Ace of Aces, verify that all 30 ranks were earned on Ace, not Elite. For By the Book, you may need another campaign if a required sequence was skipped. The ACE COMBAT 8 Trophies Achievements guide assumes campaign progress can be cleaned up after the credits; none of the PS5 trophies require Online mode.
