It originally came with three days of early access, but that benefit ended when the game launched on 2 October 2026. Anyone buying now should weigh the pass and skins, not an expired head start.
Some cosmetics are restricted to Online Mode, while campaign use of the two aircraft skins needs every story mission completed. The voucher can be saved for a later season. That makes it worth checking the individual items before deciding if Deluxe offers enough for the extra money.

The ACE COMBAT 8 Deluxe Edition does not grant a different campaign. Standard buyers have the same story, aircraft tree and online modes. The extra purchase is worthwhile only if you want the Premium pass and the cosmetic set.
ACE COMBAT 8 Deluxe Edition: how to redeem the pass voucher
ACE COMBAT ONLINE includes a free seasonal Ace Pass that all players can level through online play. The Premium tier adds rewards, and Premium Plus includes the same premium track with 30 levels skipped. Deluxe contains one voucher for Premium Ace Pass Plus.
Bandai Namco says the voucher can be saved for a future season rather than being tied to Season 1. If the Season 1 rewards don’t interest you, check future pass offerings before redeeming it. The ACE COMBAT 8 Deluxe Edition voucher does not grant every Premium season automatically, so choose the season before confirming the redemption.
Season 1 offers the ADFX-02 Morgan –PIXY aircraft as a premium reward. According to Bandai Namco, it can be used Online and becomes available for Campaign Mode once all campaign missions have been completed. A voucher redeemed for another season is not a guarantee of receiving older seasonal items.
ACE COMBAT 8 Deluxe Edition cosmetics: Campaign and Online
The Mobius Squadron skin belongs to the F-4E, and the Team Zvezda skin belongs to the F/A-18C. Both can be used in Online Mode, but Campaign Mode use requires you to finish all story missions first. If either appearance is missing from an incomplete campaign, check that requirement before trying to restore a purchase.
The Tasha costume and Scarlet missile smoke only work online. Tasha changes your mercenary avatar’s outfit; Scarlet changes the missile-smoke effect. Neither is an aircraft-performance upgrade, and neither unlocks a new campaign mission. Those limitations are worth considering if your main interest is single-player.
Does the ACE COMBAT 8 Deluxe Edition include the F-14A and ZERO?
ACE COMBAT ZERO: THE BELKAN WAR and the F-14A were preorder incentives for eligible Standard and Deluxe orders. They weren’t exclusive Deluxe bonuses. The preorder campaign ended at launch, so a post-release order needs to be assessed against its current store listing.

Is the ACE COMBAT 8 Deluxe Edition worth buying after launch?
For players who want only Campaign, Standard is the better starting point. Both editions also let you play multiplayer and earn the free Ace Pass rewards. The old early-access perk adds no value now that everyone can start the game.
If you play online regularly, compare the Deluxe price difference against the individual Premium Ace Pass Plus and cosmetic prices on your store. Steam currently lists separate editions and cosmetic DLC; pricing can change with sales and region. Deluxe may be worth the difference if you know you will use both the pass and its visual extras.
ACE COMBAT 8 Deluxe Edition rewards missing: what to check
Check that the purchasing account owns Deluxe, then open the correct mode. Campaign aircraft skins require completed missions; the outfit and smoke belong online. For Premium Ace Pass Plus, check whether the voucher has already been redeemed and which season was selected.
If an included item still fails to appear after those checks, use your order receipt when contacting your platform or Bandai Namco support. Buying the same content again is unlikely to fix an entitlement problem.
