Teamfight Tactics Patch 18.5 October 27 Changes have brought another round of balance adjustments to Kha’Zix, Brambleback and Hand of Justice. Riot Games added the changes on 27 October 2026 after two of the strongest setups in the first week of Patch 18.5 proved difficult to beat.

Kha’Zix deals less damage at every star level. Brambleback trades some Ability Power scaling for a higher base armour-ignore value, while both versions of Hand of Justice have less Omnivamp. Here’s every number from the 27 October mid-patch update, along with what the changes mean for the champions and items involved.

Teamfight Tactics Patch 18.5 October 27 Changes: exact numbers

Riot changed six values on 27 October. For Kha’Zix, each damage row shows the figures for one, two and three stars, in that order. The previous and new values are shown side by side so you can check your existing builds against the update.

Riot singled out Brambleback with seven Riftbeast and optimised Kha’Zix setups as particularly powerful. Hand of Justice’s healing was also helping melee carries stay in fights for too long. The changes pull back those advantages; they don’t remove the characters or the item.

Kha’Zix damage changes at one, two and three stars

Kha’Zix’s base damage drops from 250 to 230 at one star, 345 to 310 at two stars, and 500 to 450 at three stars. Even a fully upgraded Kha’Zix deals less damage from this part of his ability.

Damage against an isolated target also falls: 280 to 250, 390 to 350, and 590 to 530 across the three star levels. Riot lists isolated and non-isolated damage separately. You should use the value for the relevant target situation rather than adding the two lines together.

Kha’Zix was already adjusted when Patch 18.5 first arrived on 20 October. This is a further reduction, so older build guides can show figures that were correct earlier in the patch. Check that they include the Teamfight Tactics Patch 18.5 October 27 Changes before relying on their damage values.

Brambleback armour ignore in Teamfight Tactics Patch 18.5 October 27 Changes

Brambleback’s change isn’t a straightforward reduction to both parts of his armour ignore. His base value increases from 25% to 30%, but the part that scales with Ability Power falls from 25% to 10%. He starts with more, while AP-heavy builds gain less extra penetration.

That’s particularly relevant to the seven-Riftbeast setup Riot highlighted. The earlier buffs helped Brambleback get through tanks too easily. Reducing his AP scaling reins in that interaction while leaving him with a higher base value than before.

One other Brambleback number has already changed this patch cycle. On 22 October, Riot lowered his on-hit healing from 5% to 4%. That happened five days earlier, so it isn’t one of the new October 27 changes.

Hand of Justice Omnivamp: standard and Radiant values

Regular Hand of Justice now grants 12% Omnivamp instead of 15%. The Radiant version drops from 30% to 25%. Both still heal through damage dealt, but melee carries using them have less sustain.

Riot says Hand of Justice was outperforming other melee-carry items after earlier Omnivamp buffs, especially on champions capable of dealing heavy damage. The Teamfight Tactics Patch 18.5 October 27 Changes address that combination. Riot didn’t announce any change to the item’s recipe or remove it from play.

Patch 18.5 dates: October 20, 22 and 27 explained

Riot published the main Patch 18.5 notes on 20 October. The 22 October update reduced Brambleback’s on-hit healing and adjusted several Wisp costs. The 27 October update then changed Kha’Zix’s damage, Brambleback’s armour ignore and Hand of Justice’s Omnivamp.

These updates are all recorded on the same official patch-notes page. The focus here is the Teamfight Tactics Patch 18.5 October 27 Changes, with the earlier dates included to stop the Brambleback adjustments and original Kha’Zix changes getting mixed together.

Choncc or Treat Halloween mode: end date

Patch 18.5 also includes Choncc or Treat, a Halloween version of Choncc’s Treasure. Riot confirms new encounters, including one in which everyone starts with a unique Avatar Lux. The mode is available until 17 November 2026.

That event is separate from the October 27 balance changes. Choncc or Treat offers a different seasonal way to play TFT, but the announcement doesn’t describe it as another adjustment to Kha’Zix damage, Brambleback armour ignore or Hand of Justice.

Do the Teamfight Tactics Patch 18.5 October 27 Changes ruin these builds?

Not automatically. Kha’Zix has lower ability damage, AP-focused Brambleback setups get less armour-ignore scaling, and Hand of Justice provides less healing. Those reductions are worth accounting for if you’ve been relying on these combinations, but Riot’s notes aren’t a new tier list. They don’t establish that any of the champions or items are suddenly unplayable.
