Notoriety PC mods are easier to manage after update 3.21.0. The new Mods page in Settings lets you install multiple mods, enable or disable them separately and change their load priorities. The update also adds `.wav` sound support alongside `.ogg`.

The old installation method still works, so there’s no need to undo a setup you’re happy with. If you’re switching to the new system, the important parts are the `_installed` folder, the mod’s exact name and the controls on the Mods page.

How to install Notoriety PC mods in 3.21.0

Put the mod files into the _installed folder in your existing Notoriety modding setup. Then open Settings → Mods and enter the mod’s exact name to install it. The name needs to match the entry you’re trying to add.

Check spelling, spaces and the folder contents before trying again if the mod isn’t recognised. This workflow is specifically for PC players. The October update doesn’t add the same mod installation tools to the mobile or console versions.

Notoriety PC mods: where does _installed go?

The folder name is _installed, with a leading underscore. That’s the part of the path the developer specifies. Use the parent folder from your existing Notoriety modding setup rather than copying an unrelated Roblox directory from another game’s instructions.

If you’ve already installed mods by the older method, you can leave them that way. The updated interface is most useful when you want several entries to manage together; it doesn’t require you to move every existing file.

Notoriety PC mods: how to enable, disable and change mod priority

On the Mods page, you can toggle installed mods individually and adjust their load priorities. This is useful when two mods make changes to similar assets and you want to control which one takes precedence.

Start by enabling one mod and checking it works, then add another. If a change disappears, review priority and whether both entries are enabled. Reordering them won’t fix a missing file or guarantee that two incompatible mods can work together.

Will older Notoriety mods still work?

Notoriety PC mods still support the previous installation process. Version 3.21.0 adds another way to manage them rather than shutting down older setups. Players returning after an update can keep the method they’re already using if it works.

Before moving files around, make a backup of your current configuration. Mods that change weapon sounds or other assets can need attention when the game updates, so it’s easier to compare one change at a time than rebuild an entire setup after something stops working.

WAV, OGG and weapon-sound fixes

For sound changes, version 3.21.0 accepts both .wav and .ogg. It also fixes weapon sound file paths, which may help older audio mods that weren’t pointing to the right files.

There’s another small fix for creators: an .ogg file is no longer required just to confirm that an image or mesh exists. Visual-only changes shouldn’t need a placeholder sound for that check.

What to do if a mod isn’t showing up

If Notoriety PC mods aren’t showing in-game, confirm that the files are in _installed, the name entered on the Mods page matches exactly, and the mod is enabled. If it’s installed but a change isn’t visible, review load priority and try running one mod at a time.

The update describes how the new tools work, not a list of endorsed third-party downloads. Use files from sources you trust, keep backups and avoid installers that demand extra account permissions. A problem with one mod is easier to fix if you’ve kept the rest of your setup unchanged.
