The Other Side Halloween Candy is used to buy seasonal costumes, hoodies and truck skins during Thinning of the Veil. You can earn it from rituals, candy buckets found during investigations and trick-or-treating in other players’ lobbies. The event is scheduled to finish on November 3, 2026.
Ritual candy is safe, but a bucket found on a haunted map can give you a trick instead. There are also cooldowns when visiting other players’ lobbies. Here’s how each method works, where to check for available treats and what the Halloween shop actually contains.
The Other Side Halloween Candy: All three ways to earn it

| Source | How to collect candy | Risk |
|---|---|---|
| Halloween rituals | Complete four-bone rituals during active event contracts | Developer confirms ritual candy is safe |
| Candy buckets on maps | Search event locations for candy buckets | Buckets may contain a trick instead of candy |
| Other players’ lobbies | Join participating lobbies and use their trick-or-treat buckets | Buckets must be refilled; visitor cooldown applies |
Successful four-bone rituals can award The Other Side Halloween Candy as well as Protective Crystals. Find the Ritual Table during an event contract, collect four purple-glowing bones and place them in their matching bowls. Ritual rewards won’t spring a trick on you, unlike the buckets scattered around event maps.
Crystals work differently from candy: you must put them in your pouch, finish the contract successfully and throw the pouch into the HQ protective fire to earn the HQ upgrades. Our Protective Crystals walkthrough has the steps if you’re trying to unlock permanent lighting and the Halloween Trophy.
The Other Side Halloween Candy: How trick-or-treating works
Join a participating player’s lobby and look for their Halloween candy bucket. Lobby hosts must refill their buckets periodically so visitors can keep trick-or-treating. You can host a session with a bucket yourself, but Vectora Games hasn’t published a fixed refill amount or guaranteed payout per visit.
Since the October 23 update, the Session Browser can display a trick-or-treating indicator beside a lobby. Hosts choose whether to show it. If you’re on cooldown, the icon appears faded, so you can see that you aren’t ready for another visit without joining the session first.
If you can’t collect more candy from a lobby, look at the indicator and check whether the host has refilled their bucket. The developer hasn’t given a universal cooldown duration in the patch notes, so there’s no confirmed number of minutes to put on a timer.
Where to find The Other Side Halloween Candy on maps
Active Halloween maps also contain candy buckets you can investigate while hunting ghosts. Those are different from lobby buckets, and some can give tricks instead of treats. If you’re already completing a contract, check the buckets you pass, but remember that rituals are the confirmed safe candy source.
The event maps rotate daily. Our Halloween 2026 map rotation guide lists each active pair in UK time. Every event map is available from 11 PM GMT on October 30 until 11 AM GMT on November 1, giving you more locations to visit for rituals and buckets.
The Other Side Halloween Candy shop and cosmetics
Spend The Other Side Halloween Candy in the seasonal Halloween Shop, found in the cosmetic section of the laptop shop. The developer confirms costumes, hoodies and Halloween truck skins, with several more unlockables added in the October 23 hotfix.
| October 23 addition | Confirmed amount |
|---|---|
| Women’s costume unlocks | 4 |
| Men’s costume unlocks | 3 |
| Halloween box truck skins | 2 |
| Halloween 2026 hoodies | 2 |
| Unisex Boo-ty pants | 1 item |
| Previous years’ Halloween items | Additional unlocks in the Collectors Vault |
The table lists the announced cosmetic categories, not their individual candy prices. Vectora Games hasn’t published a complete price list, so check the amount shown for the item in your game before spending candy. That also avoids confusing the current shop with items returned through the separate Collectors Vault.
Check both the Halloween Shop and the Collectors Vault. The former has the current seasonal cosmetics, while the latter contains returning rewards from last year’s event. If you’re choosing between a costume and a truck skin, compare their in-game prices before using the candy you’ve collected.
The Other Side Halloween Candy: When does the shop close?
Thinning of the Veil is advertised to run from October 22 through November 3, 2026. Vectora Games hasn’t announced a separate shop closing time in UK hours. Although its map rotation includes an entry extending into November 4, that doesn’t confirm an extra day for candy purchases.
If you still need The Other Side Halloween Candy, combine rituals with available trick-or-treating lobbies and the buckets you encounter during contracts. Spend it on your preferred cosmetics by November 3, the developer’s advertised end date, rather than waiting for the final map rotation to finish.
