Enshrouded 1.0 Main Story: Endgame Quests and Progression Order

Enshrouded 1.0 Main Story ends the current campaign in Cinder’s Cradle. Follow the Flame’s Land Of The Sky Islands quest, rescue the Ancient Researcher Loraine Crim, activate six Beacon Dungeons across Embervale and use Cinder’s Ascent to reach Vorgoth and the Mother Flame. This is the new main quest chain introduced with the October 15 full release.

The six Beacon Dungeons are not the two new Hollow Halls. If your journal says Activating The Gate To The Stars, you must visit the Ancient beacons, not the Collector’s undead dungeons in Albaneve Summits or Veilwater Basin. You can complete those as side progression for weapons and experience, but they are a separate route.

Before you enter Cinder’s Cradle

Enshrouded 1.0 Main Story

To begin the Enshrouded 1.0 Main Story, upgrade your Flame for the northern Shroud and travel toward the Ancient Gate beyond Veilwater Basin. The gate is around 610 metres north of Drak’Dal Temple and leads into Cinder’s Cradle. Players returning from Early Access keep their saves, but the first 1.0 load resets allocated skill points, so rebuild your skill tree before setting out. Bring current gear, food, healing and travel tools for the higher-level enemies.

Land Of The Sky Islands quest order

The Flame gives the opening Enshrouded 1.0 Main Story quest, Land Of The Sky Islands. Complete Reach The Ancient Gate, Reach The Heart Of Cinders, Look Around Cinder’s Ascent and Summon The Ancient Researcher And Speak To Them, in that order. The Cinder’s Ascent platform appears inactive on arrival; search nearby for the lost soul. Loraine Crim is found roughly 80 metres south of the platform. After awakening her, use the Summoning Staff to place her at your base and speak with her.

Who is Loraine Crim?

Loraine Crim is the new Ancient Researcher, not an NPC literally named Ancient Knowledge Survivor. She is the craftsperson who opens the next Enshrouded 1.0 Main Story quest line and Ancient-related recipes. Her workshop provides an Infusion Altar and endgame equipment progression. The Collector, Alden Crowley, is a different survivor whose quests unlock Hollow Halls and Bone Keys. Return to Loraine after finishing her story objectives; dialogue with the correct NPC matters for progression.

Activating The Gate To The Stars

The next Enshrouded 1.0 Main Story step is Activating The Gate To The Stars. Travel to Cinder’s Cradle and enter the first Ancient Beacon Dungeon. The six beacons are named Springlands, Revelwood, Nomad Highlands, Kindlewastes, Albaneve Summits and Veilwater Basin, but their dungeon entrances are in Cinder’s Cradle. Finish the Springlands Beacon Dungeon first, then follow the journal and nearby markers for the remaining entrances. Speak to Loraine after the sixth completion. The teleport platform at Cinder’s Ascent remains unusable until those six beacons have been activated, so checking only a Hollow Halls completion marker will not open the sky route.

Cinders Of The End and the final boss

Cinders Of The End is the final Enshrouded 1.0 Main Story quest. Its four objectives are Use The Teleport Platform At Cinder’s Ascent, Reach The Ancient Capital, Defeat Vorgoth and Rescue The Mother Flame. Travel by the activated platform to the floating islands, cross towards the Ancient Citadel and follow the route to Mother Flame’s Domicile. Vorgoth has two named phases, Champion of the Shroud and the Wanderer’s Vessel. Repair gear and eat buff food before the encounter; keep enough mobility and healing for the second phase.

Finish the Mother Flame objective

Defeating Vorgoth is not the last interaction in the Enshrouded 1.0 Main Story. Continue to the Mother Flame and complete Rescue The Mother Flame before leaving. The quest awards 3,200 XP, Vorgoth’s Soulbound Crown and Vorgoth’s Soulbound Gloves. Flame Level 11 then supports 16 Flame Altars and their ability to push back the Shroud. Enshrouded still has Fell enemies and remaining Shroud after the ending, so it is not a total world reset.

Ancient crafting quests from Loraine

Alongside the Enshrouded 1.0 Main Story, Loraine offers Crafting An Infusion Altar and A Gem Forge Of Our Own. The first requires crafting and placing the altar. The second sends you to locate plans in the Ancient Citadel, then craft and place your own Gem Forge. The recipe point lies about 290 metres northeast of Vorgoth’s location. These quests unlock advanced crafting and can be completed around the main campaign; they should not be mistaken for one of the six Beacon Dungeon objectives.

Side quests worth doing before the end

You can pause the Enshrouded 1.0 Main Story to mine Celestium in Gathering Celestium, gather new plants for Crops Of Cinder’s Cradle or pursue Star Signs and its telescope plans. Hearing Voices and Vorgoth’s Ruminations provide further lore. The expanded map adds 12 Shroud Roots in Cinder’s Cradle and six in other new edge areas, so exploration can improve your skill budget. The new level cap is 50, and high-end equipment reaches level 55.

Why the final quest is not appearing

If the Enshrouded 1.0 Main Story seems stuck, open the Main Quests category and check the exact incomplete objective. Finish all six beacons before trying to use Cinder’s Ascent; return to Loraine afterwards and speak with her. Make sure you summoned her in your base after finding her soul. If you cannot cross the Shroud, improve your Flame first. Completing the two new Hollow Halls will not substitute for the six beacons; their map icons and quest giver are different.

Other guides for preparation

For the route and equipment, see Cinder’s Cradle, Flame Level 11, level cap and gear, Eternal spell upgrades, Eternal arrows and 1.0 patch notes. These give you combat and crafting context while the quest journal supplies the live objective locations.
