Enshrouded New Hollow Halls are the two additions to Alden Crowley’s crypt questline in Enshrouded 1.0: Albaneve Summits and Veilwater Basin. The first has a Hollow Titan boss and icy spider-filled rooms, while the second features underwater puzzles and the Hollow Wispwyvern. Both offer new loot alongside Collector crafting recipes.
The order matters because the Veilwater Bone Key requires Icy Giant Bones collected during Albaneve progression. Below are the two key recipes, enemies, armour and equipment rewards, and what to prepare so you don’t have to return to your base halfway through a run.
How to unlock both dungeons

Enshrouded New Hollow Halls adds Albaneve Summits and Veilwater Basin to the Collector’s regional crypt progression. Rescue Alden Crowley at the end of the Springlands Hollow Halls, provide him shelter at your base, and complete the older Hollow Halls through Kindlewastes. His Albaneve quest comes next, followed by Veilwater. Neither dungeon substitutes for the Ancient Beacon Dungeons in Loraine Crim’s main-story chain.
Both Bone Key recipes
Enshrouded New Hollow Halls use two different keys crafted by Alden Crowley. Albaneve Summits Bone Key requires 1 Giant Bones, 1 Silver Bar and 20 Ectoplasm Gems. Veilwater Basin Bone Key requires 1 Gold Bar, 1 Icy Giant Bones and 25 Ectoplasm Gems. Giant Bones come from Hollow Cyclops enemies in earlier crypts; the Icy Giant Bones needed for Veilwater come from Albaneve. Take both keys into their respective halls because internal doors also require them.
Albaneve creatures and boss
Enshrouded New Hollow Halls introduces the Hollow Titan as the frozen dungeon boss. The hall also contains Hollow Wretches, Damned, Hounds, Summoners, Reapers and Necromancers, with Summit Spiders, Spitting Spiders, Bats and a Spider Mama. It is an area-level-35 hall despite its level-32 quest marker. Cold protection and mobility gear matter: 14 Grappling Points and 13 Updrafts help you travel through large vertical rooms.
Veilwater creatures and boss
Enshrouded New Hollow Halls ends with the Hollow Wispwyvern. Water Reptiles and Crabs join the Hollow Damned, Wretches, Hounds, Summoners, Reapers and Necromancers in the flooded area. Veilwater is level 39, so bring better equipment than the level-32 quest recommendation suggests. An Underwater Grappling Hook and diving equipment are vital for flooded sections, while a ranged tool helps with the waterwheel switch.
Albaneve fixed rewards
Enshrouded New Hollow Halls contains the Dimweald Axe, Dimweald Hammer and Midnight Tomb Block as named fixed chest loot. There are 65 chests, including seven gold, seven silver and 51 wooden. Not every chest will contain a special weapon, but a selection can roll rare Hollow Halls weapons. The Collector’s Albaneve quest gives 350 XP, and Icy Giant Bones are a key crafting drop needed to start the next hall.
Veilwater armour and crafting
Enshrouded New Hollow Halls includes five fixed Venerable Hollow armour pieces: Helmet, Chestplate, Gloves, Pants and Boots. Its 50 chests include six gold, seven silver and 37 wooden. The Wispwyvern can provide Ectoplasm Aggregate, Icy Giant Bones, its head and Legendary Runes. Certain chests roll weapons such as Silvershot Bow and Snakespine Wand; their loot is random. The Collector’s quest gives 400 XP when completed.
Unique Hollow Halls weapons

Enshrouded New Hollow Halls shares a dungeon-specific random loot pool including Bonescourge Mace, Cursed Mocking Shield, Fool’s Errand, Mandible Crusher, Sacrilegious Steelsword and additional weapons. These are chest rolls, not guaranteed rewards just for entering or killing the boss. If you’re farming a particular weapon, prioritise accessible high-grade chests and Return Beacons, while leaving space to keep useful drops.
How to prepare for the halls
Enshrouded New Hollow Halls rewards planning over rushing. Repair your weapons, pack food and healing, take ranged damage and spare ammunition, and bring a Glider and Grappling Hook. Albaneve requires cold resistance and vertical traversal; Veilwater benefits from underwater breathing tools and the Underwater Grappling Hook. Destroy Reanimator piles to stop Hollow enemies from continuously respawning, and activate the Return Beacons as you progress.
How dungeon doors work
Enshrouded New Hollow Halls contains both Bone Key doors and green rune barriers. Keys are crafted once and retained for their dungeon, while rune barriers open only after enough runes have been collected from nearby routes. If a door has no Bone Key prompt, search side chambers, upper ledges or switches. Veilwater’s waterwheel elevator and floor switches are separate mechanisms, so turning the wheel won’t automatically open every barrier.
New Collector recipes
Enshrouded New Hollow Halls also adds crafting progression through Alden Crowley, including new Bone Arrows, Ectoplasm-related food, crypt furniture, Eternal Giant Bone Arrow and Eternal Hollow Wretch. Some unlocks depend on which Ectoplasm tier you’ve picked up. Veilwater’s notes Crimson Arches and The Path Of Red Marble connect to the Red Marble Arch recipe. Recipe menus change as you find new materials, so check the Collector again after each dungeon.
Which one should you do first?
Enshrouded New Hollow Halls follows a fixed key-crafting order: Albaneve before Veilwater. Start in Albaneve, defeat the Hollow Titan and collect at least one Icy Giant Bones; then craft the Veilwater Bone Key using a Gold Bar and Ectoplasm Gems. You can tackle other activities between them, but trying to skip directly to Veilwater will leave you unable to make its key unless you already obtained the special material elsewhere.
Troubleshooting missing recipes
Enshrouded New Hollow Halls can appear inaccessible if the Collector lacks a sheltered bed or you haven’t acquired the Ectoplasm tier that unlocks the key. Albaneve’s key is tied to Ectoplasm Crystal and Veilwater’s to Ectoplasm Cluster. The first four Hollow Halls are also prerequisites in his questline. A stalled main-story Beacon objective is unrelated: speak to Loraine Crim and use the Ancient Beacon markers instead.
