Enshrouded Veilwater Basin Hollow Halls is the sixth Hollow Halls dungeon added in Enshrouded 1.0. Alden Crowley, the Collector, sends you east into Veilwater Basin after the Albaneve Summits crypt. Bring his Veilwater Basin Bone Key, underwater movement equipment and strong combat gear for flooded passages, machinery puzzles and the Hollow Wispwyvern boss.
The entrance is roughly 280 metres southwest of Cyclops Cave Passage. The Enshrouded Veilwater Basin Hollow Halls quest recommends level 32, although the dungeon itself is a level-39 area. It is worth completing Albaneve first because you need Icy Giant Bones from that hall to craft the key. You can finish Veilwater without completing Loraine Crim’s six Beacon Dungeons, which belong to the main story.

Craft the Veilwater Bone Key

To enter Enshrouded Veilwater Basin Hollow Halls, speak to the Collector at your base. The Veilwater Basin Bone Key requires one Gold Bar, one Icy Giant Bones and 25 Ectoplasm Gems. The recipe becomes available when you obtain the relevant Ectoplasm Cluster. The Gold Bar comes from smelting Gold Ore or Archaic Shards with Coal. Find Icy Giant Bones in Albaneve Summits Hollow Halls. Keep the crafted key with you, since an internal door also uses it.
Find the entrance
The Enshrouded Veilwater Basin Hollow Halls entrance is approximately 1,450 metres east of the Veilwater Basin Ancient Spire and 280 metres southwest of Cyclops Cave Passage. Accept The Veilwater Basin Hollow Halls quest so the Collector marks the door. Balefire Tower 1000 Miles is around 350 metres northwest, while Old Hag’s Hut is to the south. Expect Crabs in the surrounding area. Use the key at the door and descend via the teleport platform.
Prepare for water and combat
Before entering Enshrouded Veilwater Basin Hollow Halls, equip an Underwater Grappling Hook and useful diving gear, including a snorkel if available. Bring healing, stamina food, a ranged weapon and a Mining Sieve for optional submerged resources. A normal Grappling Hook is not sufficient for some submerged anchors. Keep spare inventory slots for armour and crafting materials and activate Return Beacons as you move through the hall.
Clear the first crypt corridors
Early in Enshrouded Veilwater Basin Hollow Halls, fight Hollow Damned, Wretches, Hounds and Summoners. Water Reptiles, Reapers and Necromancers also inhabit the dungeon. Destroy Reanimators, the piles that keep raising Hollow enemies, before spending time looting. Follow rune barriers into adjoining rooms, collect the required runes and check side chambers for chests instead of assuming every locked gate requires the Bone Key.
Reach the underwater grappling route
In the flooded sections of Enshrouded Veilwater Basin Hollow Halls, watch for bright Grappling Hook anchors above the water. Swim within range and use your Underwater Grappling Hook to reach the next ledge. If the interaction never appears, check your equipped tool first. Watch your oxygen and locate the next safe air pocket before leaving one. The passages change in height and water level, so look above and below rather than only along the floor.
Fix the waterwheel and elevator

A major Enshrouded Veilwater Basin Hollow Halls obstacle combines water controls, a wheel and an elevator. Work through the reachable flooded rooms until you can operate the controls that move the waterwheel. Some switches are easier to hit with a ranged attack from across a chamber. Once the wheel is turning and the lift works, the next gate can still stay closed: that barrier uses separate floor switches, so look for the orange-glowing floor tiles.
Two water controls and two floor switches
Inside Enshrouded Veilwater Basin Hollow Halls, the water machinery has two separate controls. Operate the first, use the newly reachable route to access the second, and return to the powered waterwheel elevator. The door beyond the lift is controlled by two orange floor plates, not the wheel. Step on both and watch the lock indicators before continuing.
Cross the laser elevator
After the floor-switch gate, watch the laser beams on the moving platform before stepping across. Follow the safe gaps, avoid active beams and continue up to the next route. If the door remains shut, return to verify both floor switches registered. Nearby jump pads help with vertical movement but do not replace the puzzle switches.
Use jump pads and solve the last barrier
The Enshrouded Veilwater Basin Hollow Halls has three Jump Pads and a larger puzzle section. Use them to cross to the elevated platforms after clearing nearby enemies, and check whether a closed route requires a green rune, a floor switch or the retained Bone Key. The quest marker eventually points toward rooms with glowing orange floor tiles. If the elevator works but the door remains shut, revisit those switches instead of operating the waterwheel again.
Fight the Hollow Wispwyvern
The final Enshrouded Veilwater Basin Hollow Halls boss is the Hollow Wispwyvern. Enter with your equipment repaired and enough food, health recovery and ranged damage to sustain a long encounter. Keep space for evasive movement and avoid committing to attacks when the boss telegraphs a large strike. The boss can drop Ectoplasm Aggregate, Icy Giant Bones, Hollow Wispwyvern Head and Legendary Runes. Continue through the final chamber after defeating it to finish the Collector’s Master The Veilwater Hollow Halls objective.
Claim the Venerable Hollow armour
Search the chests in Enshrouded Veilwater Basin Hollow Halls for the full Venerable Hollow set: Boots, Chestplate, Gloves, Helmet and Pants. These are fixed dungeon chest rewards, not guaranteed drops from the boss. The hall has 50 chests, including six gold, seven silver and 37 wooden, with some random chances at Hollow Halls weapons including the Silvershot Bow and Snakespine Wand. Explore beyond the boss before using a return route.
Collect Red Marble lore and recipes
The Enshrouded Veilwater Basin Hollow Halls also contains the notes Crimson Arches and The Path Of Red Marble, linking to the Red Marble Decoration objective and Red Marble Arch recipe. Several optional chests and sarcophagi hold crafting materials, so a full loot run takes longer than completing the quest marker alone. Use the five Return Beacons to reduce long repeats after a defeat. The quest pays 400 XP when completed.
Troubleshooting missing objectives
If Enshrouded Veilwater Basin Hollow Halls will not progress, check your three journal steps: craft the key, reach the entrance, and master the hall by reaching its end. For a flooded grappling anchor that will not respond, equip the underwater tool; for an unresponsive gate, inspect its rune, floor switch or Bone Key requirement. The Collector must be available at your base to craft the key. If the quest is missing, finish the Albaneve Summits Hollow Halls progression first.
