Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji Moveset: Weapons, Skills and Combos

Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji Moveset has six base moves spread across three cursed weapons, plus seven named variants in the V1.84 Early Access build. Toji appears in the game as Hired Killer and switches from the Split Soul Katana to the Inverted Spear of Heaven and Chain of a Thousand Miles using Hidden Inventory.

The biggest difference from other fighters is that swapping weapons changes your basic attacks, dash and skills. This guide breaks down each tool, the key combo timings and the current limits of Puppet of Carnage, Toji’s unfinished awakening.

Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji Moveset: Hidden Inventory and weapon switching

Hired Killer is unusual because his moves change whenever he swaps cursed tools. Tap R to rotate from the Split Soul Katana to the Inverted Spear of Heaven, then Chain of a Thousand Miles, and back to the Katana. Hold F while pressing R to cycle backwards. Each weapon has its own M1 string and dash. The Katana and Spear have three-hit basic combos, while the Chain has four, so switching mid-fight changes when your opponent is launched.

Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji Moveset: Split Soul Katana moves

The Katana’s two base skills are Flourish on slot 2 and Debilitate on slot 3. Flourish spins the weapon before delivering a close-range stab. You can use an alternate activation during a block for a chain-linked variant. Debilitate cuts and kicks the opponent upwards before an additional strike sends them back down. It can be recast. Aim to use the Katana after a successful approach or pull, because its strongest hits need you to be close to the other fighter.

Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji Moveset: Inverted Spear of Heaven moves

The Spear has Transcend on slot 2 and Rupture on slot 3. Transcend dashes toward an opponent before slashing, and a second activation produces a variant. Rupture launches the opponent upwards and lets you press the skill again as they fall. The follow-up includes a timing check; hitting it adds damage and ragdolls the target, while missing it can break your combo. This is the weapon to practise when you struggle to close distance, because its forward dash is better at engaging than the other tools’ short-range variants.

Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji Moveset: Chain of a Thousand Miles moves

The Chain offers Lasso on slot 2 and Whiplash on slot 3. Lasso throws the chain and pulls a struck target back into melee distance for a kick. Whiplash strikes at mid-range and can be activated again quickly for another hit. Chain M1 attacks use a four-hit sequence. It is particularly useful after a Spear launch because you can catch an opponent before they get too far away, though the timing depends on whether their ragdoll and escape options have already recovered.

Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji Moveset: All weapons and seven named variants

There are six main abilities, two per weapon. Community listings additionally name The Wrath, The Greed, The Pride, Ascend, Paradise, Reincarnation and Twirling Strike as variants. They are conditional versions or follow-ups, not seven extra HUD slots. Practise the base moves first; the activation conditions differ and a variant may not trigger unless its opening move connects.

Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji Moveset: Beginner combo with the Chain

Equip Chain of a Thousand Miles, land M1 hits to lift or knock the opponent, then press Whiplash as they descend. Follow with its second activation if they remain in range. When they are ragdolled and still nearby, continue the pressure with Chain M1 attacks and Lasso. If the target escapes or gets too far away, do not throw Lasso automatically: its usefulness depends on hitting the chain. Practise the sequence against a stationary opponent to learn the distance, then adjust the timing in normal fights.

Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji Moveset: Spear to Chain combo

The Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji Moveset demands a quick weapon swap immediately after the launch, before the opponent recovers.

Equip the Inverted Spear of Heaven and approach with the forward dash, then continue with M1 attacks. Use Rupture to launch the target and time its second cast carefully so the additional hit lands. Once the target is knocked away, press R to switch from Spear to Chain and use Lasso to pull them back. Finish with Chain M1s or Whiplash depending on their position. If the Rupture timing check fails, restart rather than assuming the rest of the combo will still connect.

Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji Moveset: Awakening and Restricted passive

Puppet of Carnage is still unfinished. In this Early Access build, awakening heals 50 HP instead of revealing a complete new combat kit, so G is mainly a survival button at present. Hired Killer’s Restricted passive lets him cross domain boundaries and evade most sure-hit effects, though some exceptions exist and domain opponents can still threaten him. This creates opportunities to escape a bad fight, switch tools and re-enter from a better angle. As the kit changes in later updates, exact combo timing may also change.

Jujutsu Shenanigans Toji Moveset: Best beginner weapon

Start with the Spear’s dash to judge engagement range. Once you can reliably land Rupture’s second activation, try switching to Chain and using Lasso after the launch.

The Spear is a good first tool if closing distance is difficult, thanks to its forward dash and Rupture launch. The Chain is strongest for learning mid-range control and pull follow-ups. Katana rewards cleaner close combat. Rather than memorising a long combo immediately, practise swapping forwards and backwards and deliberately using the two skills shown for the equipped weapon. When you can switch without looking at the HUD, combine the Spear launch with the Chain pull.
