Where to find Beatrix and the Fisch Eldritch Rod quest
Head to Moosewood’s eastern dock and board the green-glowing Flying Dutchman. Talk to its Event captain and choose to sail to Caustic Hallow. On the Halloween island, head towards the witch’s large tree near the main village. Beatrix stands beside her green bubbling cauldron, not far from the Youngster Goblin. Interact with the cauldron to see the Offer Ingredient and Offer All Ingredients options.
The Fisch Eldritch Rod reward is tied to Beatrix’s cumulative Hex Energy rather than an isolated task you select from the Quest Book. You can submit ingredients over multiple visits, so there is no need to collect them all during a single Goblin spawn. Each offering adds its stated energy value and the cauldron displays your running total.
How to get Witch’s Ingredients for Beatrix’s Cauldron
Watch for Goblin spawn announcements while playing on the main Fisch map. Goblins can appear around Moosewood, Roslit Bay, Forsaken Shores, Snowcap and several other islands. Talk to the announced Goblin to receive a short challenge; depending on the Goblin, you might need to catch a fish, emote, jump or answer a question. Completing a challenge awards Witch’s Ingredients, which can then be carried back to Caustic Hallow and offered to the cauldron.
Trick-or-treating with the Candy Bucket earns Treats and sometimes event fish; Goblin challenges are the reliable source of Witch’s Ingredients. Different Witch’s Ingredients are worth different amounts of energy. To reach the ten needed for the Fisch Eldritch Rod, you could use ten Dirty Candy Corn or fewer higher-value items. Check your ingredient names before submitting anything needed for another quest. The cauldron offers a confirmation prompt when you hand over a batch.

Save Dark Art Skulls if you are planning the Cemetery’s advanced rituals. They can be difficult to replace and are required for awakening Skeleton Hands and some later recipes. Common ingredients are a less painful way to unlock the Fisch Eldritch Rod. Fisch Eldritch Rod unlock steps: reach ten Hex Energy
First, complete enough Goblin challenges to gather ingredients worth at least ten energy. Return to Beatrix and interact with the cauldron. Choose Offer Ingredient if you want to select supplies carefully, or Offer All Ingredients to submit everything you have. Watch the chat and on-screen notifications for the new total after each offering. Keep contributing until you reach ten energy and finish the first Hex Stage.
Once the threshold is met, the cauldron announces that it has reached Hex Stage II and Beatrix rewards you with the rod. Some guides call the same unlock Hex Energy Level 11 because they refer to the next reward level after ten contributed energy. The important part is the on-screen rod reward message. Open your Fishing Rods inventory and look for the limited Eldritch entry.
The Fisch Eldritch Rod requires no 1,000- or 2,000-Treat purchase after that notification. This is different from Webweaver, which unlocks a shop pillar when Winston’s challenges are completed. If Beatrix hasn’t awarded anything yet, speak to her again and check the displayed Hex progress before doing another Goblin run.
What rewards come before the Eldritch Rod?
Beatrix also awards the Witch’s Pot furniture, Coffin Bobber and Black Licorice on the cauldron reward track. Those rewards continue into later levels, after the Eldritch Rod has already been awarded at ten Hex Energy. Continuing to contribute ingredients after this point gives further Halloween cosmetics and eventual progression materials, including Omniscient Bone for a much harder ritual later in the event.
Progress at Beatrix’s cauldron continues well beyond the Fisch Eldritch Rod unlock. Fisch Eldritch Rod stats and mutation ability
The Fisch Eldritch Rod has 90% Lure Speed, 230% Luck, 0.05 Control, 15% Resilience, unlimited maximum weight and a 90-metre line distance. Its low Control and Resilience can make more demanding fish harder to reel in, but it compensates with special effects. The rod has a reported 40% chance to apply the Eldritch mutation, making it useful for collecting certain Halloween ritual offerings.

Its purple thorns can briefly pin the reeling bar in place; the event fishing bonus also makes the rod useful for continuing the Halloween Bestiary. That makes the rod more interesting than its Luck stat alone. Why is the Fisch Eldritch Rod not unlocking?
If you have offered ingredients but cannot find the reward, check the actual energy added rather than the number of items used. Dirty Candy Corn grants one point, while a Bat Wing or Raven Feather grants four. Ten submitted items do not always equal ten energy, and ten energy can also be reached with fewer than ten ingredients. When the cauldron reaches its first threshold, Beatrix should announce the reward. Check the Fishing Rods menu afterwards.
The Level 11 wording in some guides can also cause confusion. You do not need to repeat ten more levels after reaching ten energy; the Hex Stage II and rod-reward messages mark the correct unlock. If Beatrix still reports a lower total, continue Goblin challenges and bring back more ingredients. The Fisch Eldritch Rod is earned from this progression, not found in the Halloween Treats shop.
