Zenless Zone Zero Spooky Trial adds a Halloween currency loop to Enigma of the Labyrinth. Find Spookies Power Candles, use them at the Tactics Table, earn Candle Cores and sell those cores through Spookies Recycling for Season Coins.
Power Candles start trials, Candle Cores come from trial rewards or a chance find in Spookies Carrot Containers, and Season Coins are the recycling payout. Knowing which item does what makes this mode far easier to follow.

Look for Spookies Power Candles in the special containers scattered through Enigma of the Labyrinth. They aren’t listed as guaranteed drops from ordinary enemies. Once you find some, take them to the Spookies Tactics Table and pick the trial you want to attempt.
When you have enough candles, find the Spookies Tactics Table. That’s where the candles are submitted to enter a trial. A candle is not a Candle Core: one is used to participate in these challenges, while the other can later be sold for Season Coins. Keep those purposes separate when deciding what to use or keep.
If you’re short on candles, check Boojee’s Store as well; its limited Spookies selection includes Power Candles. The exact cost appears in-game, so check it against your other limited reward options before spending.
Zenless Zone Zero Spooky Trial: using the Tactics Table
Bring your collected candles to the table and choose a trial that suits your current run. Completing a Zenless Zone Zero Spooky Trial grants cumulative rewards, buffs and a special item called the Candle Core. The trials are part of Enigma of the Labyrinth rather than the separate VR Trickmobile event at the HIA Club.
Check your available combat tools and the challenge description before spending candles. HoYoverse also added Tactical Prisms for Phoenix, Severian, Orphie & Magus, Soldier 0 – Anby, Alice, Trigger and Burnice in the same update, giving players new options within the Labyrinth. These aren’t automatically required for the Halloween challenges; they are additional choices for eligible runs.
Pick a trial that suits your build and its available buffs. Your goal is to clear it for cumulative rewards and Candle Cores; there isn’t one confirmed route or team composition that applies to every Spooky Trial stage.
Zenless Zone Zero Spooky Trial: how to get Candle Cores
There are two confirmed ways to get Candle Cores: completing Spooky Trial challenges and opening special Spookies Carrot Containers scattered through the Hollow. The latter only have a chance to contain cores.
Spookies Carrot Containers can contain Candle Cores, but the drop isn’t guaranteed. Open them as you explore and treat any extra cores as a bonus alongside the ones earned from successful trials.
Zenless Zone Zero Spooky Trial: recycling for Season Coins
To recycle cores, travel to Omond Research Station and open Spookies Recycling. Sell your Candle Cores at the posted buyback price to collect Season Coins. The price shown by a counter is the amount to check before selling.
You can sell at your own counter, a friend’s, a member of your Outpost group, or a setup reached via share code. Compare the current buyback prices to decide where your Candle Cores are worth the most.
You can appoint one of your Agents to manage your own Spookies Recycling counter. Agent choice isn’t stated to guarantee a better price, so compare the offer displayed at each counter before selling.
Boojee’s Store rewards and expiry date
Boojee’s Store gains a limited Spookies selection during Version 3.3, including the Full Moon Homecoming Proxy accessory, Polychromes and additional Power Candles. Don’t Hound Me is added separately to the Treasures Counter.
These limited Spookies offers expire when Version 3.3 ends at 06:00 UTC+8 on 2 December 2026. Use the store’s displayed prices and stock. HoYoverse does not publish one fixed Candle Core resale price or Carrot Container drop chance.
Best order for the event activities
Start with ordinary Enigma of the Labyrinth exploration to gather Power Candles and watch for Carrot Containers. At the Tactics Table, complete a suitable trial for the additional Candle Core and any available buffs. When you have a useful number of cores, compare your recycling price against offers from friends, your Outpost or another Proxy’s share code before selling.
Spend your Season Coins at Boojee’s Store before the limited rewards close. If you’ve still got Power Candles, use them on another trial; keep recycling the resulting Candle Cores until you’ve earned enough for the rewards you want.
